Roundup: McKenzi Hall leads Centennial to win

Freshman McKenzi Hall shot par 72 on Monday to tie for second and lead Centennial’s girls golf team to the team title at a Northwest League match at Painted Desert.

Palo Verde’s Annick Haczkiewicz was the medalist with a 3-under-par 69. Faith Lutheran’s Sydney Smith tied Hall for second at 72, and Centennial’s Hailey Stevenson was fourth at 75.

Cimarron-Memorial’s Katelyn Smith shot 76, and Arbor View’s Kyndall Newman shot 79.

The Bulldogs finished at 318, 16 shots ahead of second-place Palo Verde. Faith Lutheran was third at 381, and Arbor View was fourth at 398.

Gorman claims Southwest match

At Siena, Bishop Gorman had four of the top six individuals to win a Southwest League match.

Clark’s Riana Mission was the medalist with a 4-under 68.

Gorman’s Hunter Pate was second at 84, and teammates Sindey Stevers (84), Rachel Fratt (86) and Angelina Kilton (86) also placed in the top six for the Gaels, who had a team score of 332.

Clark was second at 358, followed by Desert Oasis (417) and Spring Valley (488).

Clark’s Leah Im tied for third at 84.
