Roundup: McKenzi Hall shoots 5-under, leads Centennial to win

McKenzi Hall fired a 5-under-par 67 on Wednesday at Paiute to lead Centennial’s girls golf team to victory in a Northwest League match.

The Bulldogs shot 299 as a team, 24 strokes ahead of second-place Palo Verde. Faith Lutheran was third at 343, and Arbor View was fourth at 363.

Palo Verde’s Annick Haczkiewicz was second individually with a 70. Faith Lutheran’s Sydney Smith, Arbor View’s Kyndall Newman and Centennial’s Hailey Stevenson tied for third at 72.

Pahrump wins Sunset League match

Breanne Nygaard shot 12-over 84 to finish first in a Class 3A Sunset League match at Aliante.

The Trojans were the only school to field a full team, finishing with a team score of 425.

Western’s Carolyn Lemon was second individually with an 88, and Pahrump’s Makalea Petrie was third at 98.
