ROUNDUP: Pejak leads Palo Verde’s girls to Northwest win

Palo Verde’s Sonja Pejak shot a 5-over-par 41 on Wednesday to help the Panthers win the Northwest League match at Paiute by one stroke.

The Panthers had a team score of 202. Centennial shot 203. Centennial’s Sara Farr shot a 44.

Cassie Bolt led third-place Arbor View with a 48.

Canyon Springs wins Northeast meet
At Los Prados, Almira Wilborn shot a 13-over 83, and Taylor Candley added an 84 to help Canyon Springs finish first in a Northeast League match.

The Pioneers had a team score of 389. Las Vegas was the only other school to field a full team and shot a 415.

Las Vegas’ Ashley Manhnieo was the medalist with a 79.

Rizzetto shoots par to take medalist honors
At Black Mountain, Silverado’s Brittany Rizzetto shot par 36, but the Skyhawks settled for third place in the Southeast League meet.

Green Valley won the meet with a score of 180, buoyed by a 42 from Jordan Sala and a 44 from Brittany Radke.

Coronado, led by Melanie Chambers’ 39, took second with a 183.
