Roundup: Roycee Southerland helps Gorman to victory in Southwest League match

Roycee Southerland carded a 5-over-par 77 at Siena on Wednesday to finish second individually and help Bishop Gorman’s girls golf team win a Southwest League match.

The Gaels, who also got rounds of 80 from Logan Allen and Rachel Fratt, finished with a team score of 320. Clark was second at 336. Sierra Vista took third with a 398, and Silverado finished fourth with a 488.

Clark’s Riana Mission earned medalist honors with a 74.

Centennial narrowly wins Northwest match

At Painted Desert, McKenzi Hall shot 4-over 76 to help Centennial win a Northwest League match in a tiebreaker over Faith Lutheran.

The Bulldogs and Crusaders each shot 328 as a team, but Centennial won the match on a fifth-score tiebreaker. Faith Lutheran had only four players. Palo Verde was third at 373, followed by Cimarron-Memorial at 473.

Faith Lutheran’s Morgan Goldstein and Arbor View’s Kyndall Newman shared medalist honors with rounds of 72. The Cruaders’ Gracie Olkowski shot 74.

Eagles win Sunrise match

At Boulder Creek, Boulder City placed its four scoring golfers in the top five to easily win a Sunrise League match.

Ryann Reese led the Eagles and earned medalist honors with an 11-over 83. Sydney Krumm added a 103 for Boulder City, which shot 415 as a team.

Sunrise Mountain was the only other school to post a team score and shot 569.

Moapa Valley’s Patricia Slaughter finished second with a 94.
