Sami Penor leads Coronado to commanding win in Southeast League match

Sami Penor carded a 2-under-par 70 at Revere on Monday to earn medalist honors and lead a dominant Coronado girls golf team to victory in a Southeast League match.

The Cougars had the top five individuals and six of the top seven to shoot 310 as a team. Green Valley was second with 402, and Foothill was third with 432.

Coronado’s Victoria Estrada placed second after shooting a 76, and teammates Crystle Querol and Gabby Denunzio tied for third with an 82.

Katie Schlichenmayer from Foothill was the best non-Cougar on Monday, placing sixth with a 90.
