BOYS SOCCER: Biorato, Diamondbacks hand Spartans first league loss

Eric Biorato scored two goals Monday as Desert Oasis’ boys soccer team handed visiting Cimarron-Memorial its first Southwest League loss of the season, 2-0.

Desert Oasis goalkeeper Damien Herrera made 11 saves, eight in the second half, to get the shutout.

Herson Ramirez assisted on both goals for the Diamondbacks.

Tech 3, Sunrise Mountain 2 — At McCarran Park, the Roadrunners scored two goals in a one minute span late in the second half to rally for the victory.

Julio Vargas’ goal with about seven minutes to play gave Tech the lead. Vargas had two goals and an assist, and Hugo Flores also scored for the Roadrunners.

Carlos Herrera and Alejandro Encisco scored for Sunrise Mountain.

Centennial 2, Legacy 1 — At Centennial, Eric Sanchez scored a goal in each half as the Bulldogs edged the Longhorns.

Daniel Mejia scored for Legacy.

Faith Lutheran 2, Cheyenne 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Tristan Tomburo and Chase Carey each scored a goal to lead the Crusaders by the Desert Shields.

Phil Starcher recorded the shutout for Faith Lutheran.

Mojave 4, Pahrump Valley 2 — At Pahrump, Noe Garcia scored twice, and Christian Martinez added three assists as the Rattlers topped the Trojans.

Guillermo Ramirez and Eduardo Luna also scored for Mojave.

Aaron Alcarez scored both Pahrump goals.

Chaparral 6, Virgin Valley 0 — At Chaparral, Jose Morales scored three goals to help the Cowboys beat the Bulldogs.

Gavynn Mossiah, Ramiro Alvarado and Francisco Cisneros each added a goal for Chaparral, which got two assists from Alex Robledo.

Gerardo Skewes made seven saves to earn the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 9, Bonanza 0 — At Gorman, Tristan Blackmon had four goals and two assists as the Gaels routed the Bengals.

Matt Fike had two goals and an assist, and Jorge Paez scored twice for Gorman. Cobi DeLeon had a goal and an assist, and Trace Doehrmann supplied two assists for the Gaels.

Aaron Mack and Joshua Holland combined on the shutout.

Desert Pines 10, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Diego Sanchez and Genaro Corona each had three goals to help the Jaguars defeat the Eagles.

Luis Rivera scored twice, and Marco Vivero and Henry Palacios each had a goal for Desert Pines.

Western 16, The Meadows 0 — At The Meadows, Bruno Aleman had four goals as the Warriors blitzed the Mustangs.

Miguel Ibanez had two goals and an assist, and Martin Vasquez added two goals for Western, which also got goals from Edwin Morales, David Moctezuma, Walter Santamaria, Nathaniel Reyes, Franklin Martinez, Ricardo Gonzalez, Hugo Caldera and Eddie Arellano.

Moctezuma had three assists, and Arellano and Alfredo Gomez each had two assists.

Manuel Guillermo was credited with the shutout.

Clark at Adelson School — At Adelson, the Chargers and Lions had their match postponed as officials did not arrive for the match. It was rescheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
