BOYS SOCCER: Dragons upend No. 4 Tech

Diego Nieves and Ruben Ortiz each scored a goal Wednesday to lead Del Sol's boys soccer team to a 2-1 road win over No. 4 Tech.

Diego Flores had two assists for Del Sol, which led 1-0 at halftime.

Joel Velazquez converted a penalty kick for Tech.

Las Vegas 2, Coronado 1 — At Las Vegas, Alexander Melchor's goal with four minutes to play broke a 1-1 tie and lifted the Wildcats past the Cougars.

Miguel Navarrete also scored for Las Vegas.

John Lynam scored for Coronado.

Cimarron-Memorial 1, Valley 1 — At Cimarron, Dresden Quackenbush scored five minutes into the second half to allow the Spartans to tie the Vikings.

Andy Gonzales scored a first-half goal for Valley.

Palo Verde 0, Centennial 0 — At Centennial, the Panthers and Bulldogs played to a scoreless draw.

Palo Verde's Nishesh Yadav made seven saves, and Centennial's Jacob Mays made three saves en route to the shutouts.

Arbor View 1, Canyon Springs 1 — At Arbor View, Dalton Rice scored on a penalty kick in the second half to help the Aggies tie the Pioneers.

Canyon Springs took a 1-0 lead in the first half on an own goal by the Aggies.

Rancho 1, Legacy 1 — At Rancho, Jorge Renteria scored 15 minutes into the second half to help the Rams tie the Longhorns.

Daniel Quinones scored for Legacy, which led 1-0 at halftime.

Desert Oasis 5, Foothill 3 — At Foothill, Alec Kuklish scored three goals to lead the Diamondbacks by the Falcons.

Ivan Biorato added a goal and an assist, and Christian Diaz also scored for Desert Oasis.

Trent Milne had a goal and an assist, and Becca Nyonyintono and Reagan Mugume also scored for Foothill.

Bonanza 3, Durango 2 — At Bonanza, Manuel Ponce scored the tiebreaking goal 10 minutes into the second half to give the Bengals a win over the Trailblazers.

Emerson Valle scored the equalizer for Bonanza, which also got a goal and an assist from Taichi Mouri.

Marcos Delangel-Parra and Giovanni Rodriguez each had a goal to lead Durango.

Mojave 2, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Antonio Perez and Eduardo Luna-Ruiz each scored a second-half goal as the Rattlers blanked the Patriots.

Jesus Anguito was in goal for the shutout.

Adelson School 4, Basic 1 — At Adelson, Nevo Ziv scored three goals and had one assist as the Lions routed the Wolves.

Ben Elharrar had one goal and an assist for the Lions.

Topias Pennanen scored on a free kick for the Wolves.

Sunrise Mountain 2, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Luis Olandez scored on a penalty kick in the first half, and Ivan Enciso added a goal in the second half to give the Miners a win over the Bulldogs.

Western 8, Cheyenne 0 — At Western, Ricardo Gonzalez scored three goals, and David Ginsburg added two goals to lead the Warriors past the Desert Shields.

Nathaniel Reyes had a goal and an assist, and Angel Gutierrez-Montes and Christian Macias also scored for Western, which got two assists from Ramon Perez-Meza.

Jose Anaya had two saves to preserve the shutout for the Warriors.

Chaparral 8, Boulder City 3 — At Boulder City, Omar Miranda had two goals and two assists, and Miguel Mendoza notched two goals and one assist to lead the Cowboys past the Eagles.

Jose Morales and Ramiro Alvarado each scored and had one assist, and Juan Romero and Gerardo Perieda also scored for the Cowboys, who got two assists from Aldo Skewes.

John Krausman, Alex Krausman and Monte Morris scored for Boulder City.

Desert Pines 11, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Marco Vivero had two goals and two assists, and Oswaldo Medina and Eligio Gandarilla scored two goals apiece to help the Jaguars rout the Pirates.

Eduardo Flores and Emanuel Calo each added a goal and an assist for Desert Pines, which also got goals from Sergio Magana, Edgar Sierra and Nestor Vivero.

Geo Hernandez and Justin Becerra combined for the shutout.

Spring Valley 4, Faith Lutheran 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Octavio Montenegro scored twice to help the Grizzlies top the Crusaders.

Jose Lopez and Bum Cho also scored for Spring Valley.

Harry McKeon scored for Faith Lutheran.
