BOYS SOCCER: Falcons build 2-0 lead, hold off Cougars

Aaryn Corneos and Robert Cowan each scored a second-half goal Monday as Foothill’s boys soccer team built a two-goal lead and held off host Coronado, 2-1.

Arbor View 2, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, James Drye scored two unassisted goals to power the Aggies over the Grizzlies.

Nathan Bohn made four saves to get the shutout.

Palo Verde 2, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Nolan Sherwood scored twice to lift the Panthers over the Mustangs.

Blake Damato scored on a penalty kick for Shadow Ridge.

Silverado 2, Green Valley 2 — At Silverado, Randy Casas scored the tying goal early in the second half as the Skyhawks managed a draw with the Gators

Xavier Martinez netted the other goal for Silverado.

Maliq Cooper and Khalil Landers scored for Green Valley.

Durango 2, Sierra Vista 2 — At Sierra Vista, Victor Garcia’s goal in the 57th minute gave the Trailblazers a tie with the Mountain Lions.

Sierra Vista had taken a 2-1 lead a minute earlier on Miles McRae’s second goal of the game.

Paris Estrada had the other goal for Durango.

Canyon Springs 3, Valley 1 — At Canyon Springs, Gaspar Gonzalez scored twice to lead the Pioneers over the Vikings.

Jonathan Martinez added a goal and an assist for Canyon Springs, which led 2-1 at the half.

Eric Sanchez scored for Valley.

Las Vegas 6, Rancho 1 — At Las Vegas, Enrique Adame had a goal and an assist to lead the Wildcats by the Rams.

Danny Nunez, Brian Abbott, Alex Melchor, Marc Sotelo and Tony Gonzalez also scored for Las Vegas.

Roberto Mina-Olivera had Rancho’s goal.

Eldorado 7, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Chris Perez had four goals and two assists to power the Sundevils by the Dragons.

Edgar Duran added a goal and three assists, and Andres Lua had a goal and an assist for Eldorado, which also got a goal from Israel Hernandez.

Samuel Tapia made five saves en route to the shutout.

Liberty 9, Basic 1 — At Basic, Danny Musovski had four goals and an assist, and Alex Camacho added a goal and three assists as the Patriots routed the Wolves.

Joey Hollimon had two goals and an assist, and Alex Camacho and Tavito Medrano also scored for Liberty, which got two assists from Adam Musovski.

Ismael Carranza scored for Basic.
