BOYS SOCCER: Martinez’s second-half goal sends Chargers by Aggies

Jose Martinez scored midway through the second half Friday to help Clark’s boys soccer team to a 1-0 win over Arbor View in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic at Liberty.

Ronaldo Sandoval and Allen Zuniga combined on the shutout for the Chargers.

Green Valley 3, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Roberto Rodriguez scored twice to lead the Gators by the Patriots in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Austin Quirt also scored for Green Valley.

Danny Musovski netted Liberty’s goal.

Liberty 7, Arbor View 0 — At Liberty, Musovski tallied five goals as the Patriots spanked the Aggies in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Adam Musovski added a goal and an assist, and Chandler Prasad had four assists for Liberty, which also got a goal from Parker Randall.

Joey Schibetta made four saves to earn the shutout.

Tech 4, Sierra Vista 1 — At Liberty, Derian Salcido and Julio Vargas each had a goal and an assist as the Roadrunners downed the Mountain Lions in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Hugo Flores and Brandon Vargas also scored for Tech.

Giovanni Amaya cashed in on a free kick for Sierra Vista’s goal.

Centennial 4, Foothill 2 — At Liberty, Eric Sanchez had two goals and an assist to help the Bulldogs top the Falcons in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Philip Hopper added a goal and an assist, and Mason Panos also scored for Centennial.

Dakota Maack and Robert Cowan each had a goal and an assist for Foothill.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Western 0 — At Western, Scotty Robles had two goals, and Angel Esparza added two assists as the Spartans blanked the Warriors.

Niko DeLaTorre also scored for Cimarron.

Richard Crews made five saves, including stopping a penalty kick, to earn the shutout for the Spartans.

Legacy 2, Durango 0 — At Liberty, Luis Torres made five saves, including two in the final four minutes to preserve the shutout, as the Longhorns beat the Trailblazers in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Jaime Ibarra and Luka Skrinjaric each had a goal for Legacy.
