BOYS SOCCER: Miners secure Sunrise League title with win over Cowboys

Enrique Pedraza and Raciel Jimenez-Vasquez each scored a goal Wednesday to help Sunrise Mountain’s boys soccer team secure the Sunrise League title with a 3-0 win over visiting Chaparral.

Carlos Cruz made 12 saves to earn the shutout for the Miners, who also benefitted from an own goal.

Legacy 1, Palo Verde 0 — At Legacy, Daniel Quinones’ goal lifted the Longhorns by the Panthers.

Juan Orpineda made five saves to earn the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 2, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Gorman, Cobi DeLeon scored twice to lift the Gaels by the Mustangs.

Josh Holland made three saves to earn the shutout.

Tech 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Heritage Park, Francisco Garcia, Jose Magana and Adolfo Guzman each tallied a goal as the Roadrunners beat the Jaguars.

Jacob Alvarez supplied two assists for Tech.

Eligio Gandarilla scored for Desert Pines.

Eldorado 3, Green Valley 0 — At Eldorado, Eddie Mercado scored two goals to lead the Sundevils by the Gators.

Marlon Vidales also scored for Eldorado.

Roberto Nunez made 11 saves to earn the shutout.

Del Sol 4, Moapa Valley 0 — At Del Sol, Diego Nieves scored twice to lead the Dragons by the Pirates.

Andres Garcia and Jacob Burge also scored for Del Sol, which got two assists from Johan Rodriguez.

Elvis Garcia recorded the shutout.

Foothill 6, Basic 1 — At Basic, the Falcons erupted for five second-half goals and downed the Wolves.

Mason Reid, Aaryn Corneos, Robert Cowan, Jackson Dietrich, Michael Carnahan and Timothy Olsen all scored for Foothill.

Ismael Carranza scored for Basic.

Clark 6, Adelson School 0 — At Clark, Oscar Mata scored three goals to propel the Chargers past the Lions.

Jose Martinez had a goal and two assists, and Ivan Lopez and Juan Sanchez-Moran also scored for Clark.

Ramon Ramirez and Tristan Polakowski combined for the shutout.

Coronado 9, Rancho 0 — At Coronado, Diego Osuna scored five goals to lead the Cougars by the Rams.

Justin Lyons added three goals and three assists, and Preston Judd had a goal and two assists for Coronado, which got three assists from Michael Schwob.

Austin Kost and Logan Duffy combined on the shutout.

Virgin Valley 11, Boulder City 0 — At Mesquite, Gabe Medina had four goals and four assists, and Moises Medina added three goals to help power the Bulldogs by the Eagles.

Ricky Trujillo had a goal and three assists, and Justin Cazares added a goal and two assists for Virgin Valley, which also got goals from Oswaldo Cabrera and Domingo Ramirez.

Ramirez and Hayden Johnson combined on the shutout.
