BOYS SOCCER: Moreno’s corner-kick goal lifts Las Vegas past Silverado

Steven Moreno’s goal off his own corner kick with six minutes left in the match Thursday broke a 1-1 tie and lifted Las Vegas High’s boys soccer team to a 2-1 win over host Silverado.

The Wildcats’ Roberto Ramos-Martinez and the Skyhawks’ Jacob Holquin each scored on a penalty kick in the first half.

Canyon Springs 5, Green Valley 2 — At Green Valley, Luis Macias, Nolan Mumford, Brian Santa Cruz, Jonathan Martinez and Ivan Adame each scored a second-half goal as the Pioneers rallied past the Gators.

Roberto Rodriguez had a goal and an assist, and Austin Quirt also scored for Green Valley.

Liberty 4, Foothill 3 — At Liberty, Danny Musovski had two goals and an assist to lead the Patriots to a win over the Falcons.

Parker Randall and Alex Camacho each added a goal for Liberty, and teammate Joey Hollimon had two assists.

Christopher Armas, Robert Cowan and Mason Reid each had a goal for Foothill, which trailed 4-1 before scoring twice in the final five minutes of the match.

Coronado 1, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Justin Lyons’ first-half goal stood up as the Cougars edged the Dragons.

Cody Capps was in goal for the shutout.

Durango 3, Arbor View 1 — At Arbor View, Victor Garcia, Aldair Ortiz and Eliseo Ornelas each had a goal as the Trailblazers built a 3-0 halftime lead and held off the Aggies.

Christian Jaramillo scored for Arbor View.

Virgin Valley 2, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Pahrump, Gabe Medina scored two first-half goals, and the Bulldogs held off the Trojans.

Aaron Alcarez converted a second-half penalty kick for Pahrump.

Shadow Ridge 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Matthew Camacho scored all three goals to lift the Mustangs by the Mountain Lions.

Blake Damato had three assists for Shadow Ridge, which got a six-save shutout from Nathan Kramer.

Palo Verde 4, Spring Valley 0 — At Palo Verde, Griffin Mallas scored twice as the Panthers shut out the Grizzlies.

Powell Naylor and Matt Thomas each added a goal, and Austin Polster had two assists for Palo Verde.

Nishesh Yadav had seven saves to get the shutout.

Valley 9, Rancho 0 — At Valley, Marco Gonzalez and Eric Sanchez each had three goals and four assists as the Vikings blitzed the Rams.

Alejandro Parra added two goals, and Dawit Tesfa also scored for Valley.

Jesus Enriquez made eight saves en route to the shutout.

Eldorado 10, Basic 0 — At Eldorado, Chris Perez had three goals as the Sundevils routed the Wolves.

Alexis Soto, Andres Lua and Israel Hernandez each added two goals, and Eddie Mercado had a goal and two assists for Eldorado, which got three assists from Edgar Duran.

Sammy Tapia and Sergio Ortega combined on the shutout.
