BOYS SOCCER: Pioneers stymie Vikings to stay unbeaten

Roman Urias-Medina had two goals, and Canyon Springs' boys soccer team remained unbeaten with a 3-1 victory over visiting Valley on Thursday.

Eduardo Quintero-Rodriguez added a goal, and Edgar Donate had two assists for the Pioneers.

Anthony Marquez scored for the Vikings, who suffered their first loss of the season.

Las Vegas 9, Silverado 2 — At Las Vegas, Randy Casas had two goals and three assists, and Agustin Hernandez had two goals and two assists to lead the Wildcats by the Skyhawks.

Jose Torrez-Paramo added two goals, and Alexis Osorio had a goal and an assist for Las Vegas, which also got goals from Jesus Villanueva and Jair Jaimes-Ponce.

Manny Jahuey scored for Silverado.

Centennial 3, Arbor View 2 — At Arbor View, Adrian Martinez, Jacob Mecham and Manny Lopez each scored a goal to lead the Bulldogs past the Aggies.

Alfredo Carrera and Cameron Kornock scored for Arbor View, which played a man down after receiving a red card in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Bonanza 3, Desert Oasis 1 — At Bonanza, Manuel Ponce, Taichi Mouri and Skylar Villasenor each scored as the Bengals downed the Diamondbacks.

Alec Kuklish scored for Desert Oasis.

Cheyenne 3, Faith Lutheran 2 — At Faith Lutheran, Felix Ellqvist, Christian Soalke and Josey Zapata scored first-half goals, and the Desert Shields held off the Crusaders.

Harut Khachoyan scored twice in the second half for Faith Lutheran, which played the entire second half with 10 players due to a red card.

Logan Buckley assisted on both Crusaders' goals.

Sierra Vista 5, Pahrump Valley 2 — At Sierra Vista, Kebba Jobe scored twice to lead the Mountain Lions by the Trojans.

Justin Prescia had a goal and an assist, and Konnor King and Ian Albertson also scored for Sierra Vista.

Eduardo Garcia and Carlos Ortega scored for Pahrump.

Western 4, Clark 1 — At Clark, David Ginsburg, Nathaniel Reyes, Alfredo Gomez and Angel Gutierrez-Montes each scored once to lead the Warriors by the Chargers.

Oscar Mata scored Clark's goal.
