BOYS SOCCER: Ramirez, Longhorns edge Panthers

Jose Ramirez scored two first-half goals Monday to help Legacy’s boys soccer team to a 2-1 win at Palo Verde.

Austin Manthey scored in the second half for the Panthers.

Green Valley 2, Eldorado 1 — At Green Valley, Ricardo Nunez scored with just more than two minutes remaining to lift the Gators by the Sundevils.

Austin Quirt added a first-half goal for Green Valley.

Eldorado’s Eddie Mercado tied the match on a penalty kick in the second half.

Shadow Ridge 3, Bishop Gorman 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Alex Pacheco had a goal and an assist to lead the Mustangs over the Gaels.

Dominic Damato and Jordan Tschogl each added a goal for Shadow Ridge.

Zak Pignatello scored for Gorman.

Desert Pines 2, Del Sol 0 — At Desert Pines, Rodrigo Andrade and Santiago Solis each scored a goal as the Jaguars blanked the Dragons.

Josafat Trinidad made four saves to record the shutout.

Chaparral 4, Virgin Valley 2 — At Chaparral, Omar Miranda scored four goals to lead the Cowboys by the Bulldogs.

Carlos Hernandez had three assists for the Cowboys.

Gabe Medina scored both goals for Virgin Valley.

Coronado 5, Rancho 2 — At Rancho, Justin Lyons and Preston Judd each scored twice to help the Cougars top the Rams.

Holden Smyth also scored for Coronado.

Robert Mina-Olivera and Francisco Ramirez scored for Rancho.

Sunrise Mountain 4, Boulder City 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jose Arreola had two goals, and the Miners did all of their scoring in the second half to down the Eagles.

Jorge Molina added a goal and an assist, and Musio Jimenez also scored for Sunrise Mountain.

Cesar Venegas was in goal for the shutout.

Foothill 9, Basic 1 — At Foothill, Robert Cowan scored three goals, and Jackson Dietrich added two goals and an assist as the Falcons routed the Wolves.

Aaryn Corneos had a goal and two assists, and Esiquiel Garcia, Dominic Henriott and Timothy Olsen also scored for Foothill.

Parker Erickson and Mike Dolmont each had two assists for the Falcons.

Francisco Navarrete scored for Basic.

Tech 9, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Eduardo Sanchez and Francisco Garcia each had two goals and four assists as the Roadrunners routed the Pirates.

Adolfo Guzman had two goals and an assist, and Damian Vera, Joel Velazquez and Tifree Flores also scored for Tech.

Tyler Harvey made two saves to record the shutout.
