BOYS SOCCER: Schmucker’s late save preserves tie for Silverado

Silverado goalkeeper Randy Schmucker stopped a penalty kick with a minute left in the match Wednesday to allow Silverado’s boys soccer team to earn a 1-1 tie at Valley.
Randy Casas scored a first-half goal for the Skyhawks.
Sebastian Salcedo scored a second-half goal for the Vikings.
Las Vegas 2, Green Valley 1 — At Green Valley, Elias Torres and Miguel Palafox each scored a goal in the first half, and the Wildcats held on to nip the Gators.
Ricardo Nunez scored for Green Valley.
Shadow Ridge 1, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Guillermo Nava’s goal midway through the first half accounted for all of the scoring as the Mustangs edged the Aggies.
Nathan Kramer made six saves to earn the shutout.
Durango 3, Spring Valley 2 — At Durango, Paris Estrada, Giovanni Rodriguez and Sergio Guzman scored first-half goals, and the Trailblazers held on to beat the Grizzlies.
Dennis Tayou and Jonathan Covarrubias scored second-half goals for Spring Valley.
Centennial 2, Desert Oasis 0 — At Centennial, Mason Panos scored once in each half to lead the Bulldogs by the Diamondbacks.
Tanner Polley registered the shutout for Centennial.
Palo Verde 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Palo Verde, Nolan Sherwood, Austin Manthey and Griffen Mallas each scored a goal as the Panthers completed a perfect regular season with a win over the Mountain Lions.
Nishesh Yadav made eight saves to earn his 12th shutout for Palo Verde (17-0).
Eldorado 5, Coronado 2 — At Eldorado, Andres Lua scored four goals to help the Sundevils complete an undefeated regular season with a win over the Cougars.
Edgar Duran also scored for Eldorado (16-0-2).
Justin Lyons and Viet Nguyen scored for Coronado.
Canyon Springs 5, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, Jonathan Martinez scored three goals as the Pioneers beat the Rams.
Gaspar Gonzalez and Brian Santa Cruz each added a goal for Canyon Springs.
Miguel Diaz-Ortiz scored for Rancho.
Liberty 5, Del Sol 1 — At Liberty, Danny Musovski netted five goals to lead the Patriots by the Dragons.
Joey Hollimon had three assists for Liberty.
Jorge Preciado scored for Del Sol.
Foothill 7, Basic 0 — At Foothil, Dakota Maack had two goals and two assists as the Falcons topped the Wolves.
Robert Cowan, Jackson Dietrich and Jairo Bocanegra each had a goal and an assist, and Jesse Thomas and Christopher Armas added a goal apiece for Foothill.
Derek Lawson made four saves to record the shutout.
