BOYS SOCCER: Thomas sparks Palo Verde past Longhorns

Matt Thomas had a goal and an assist Tuesday to help Palo Verde’s boys soccer team blank visiting Legacy, 2-0.

Nolan Sherwood also scored for the Panthers.

Nishesh Yadav made four saves on his way to a shutout.

Las Vegas 5, Tech 0 — At Tech, Daniel Nunez and Alexis Berrios each scored two goals to power the Wildcats past the Roadrunners.

Enrique Adame also scored for Las Vegas.

Clark 1, Coronado 1 — At Coronado, Jose Martinez’s second-half goal allowed the Chargers to tie the Cougars.

Justin Lyons’ goal gave Coronado a 1-0 lead in the first half.

Virgin Valley 4, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Gabe Medina had two goals and two assists to lead the Bulldogs by the Desert Shields.

Ulises Flores and Efren Rodriguez also scored for Virgin Valley.

Chase Castro netted Cheyenne’s goal.

Centennial 4, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Pablo Gatti notched a goal and an assist, and the Bulldogs scored twice in the second half to defeat the Mustangs.

Levi Hunt, Eric Sanchez and Jesus Lopez also scored for Centennial.

Blake Damato scored both goals for Shadow Ridge, which played two overtime matches on Monday en route to the title at the Southern Nevada Kick-Off Classic.

Faith Lutheran 8, Adelson School 1 — At Adelson School, Sean Kay and Conner France each scored two goals to help the Crusaders down the Lions.

Ryan Callan, Harut Khachoyan, Chase Pavlov and Chase Carey each scored once for Faith Lutheran.

Dominic Bembenek scored for Adelson School.

Durango 4, Desert Oasis 1 — At Durango, Mauricio Garcia scored two second-half goals to help the Trailblazers defeat the Diamondbacks.

Jorge Lorza and Sergio Guzman each scored first-half goals for Durango, which led 2-1 at halftime.

Herson Ramirez netted Desert Oasis’ goal.

Sierra Vista 5, Basic 1 — At Sierra Vista, Giovanni Amaya scored twice on penalty kicks and added an assist to lead the Mountain Lions past the Wolves.

Dominic Cardenas, Luis Vazquez, and Edwin Martinez each added a goal for Sierra Vista.

Jonathan Giddens supplied a goal for Basic.

Foothill 7, Spring Valley 1 — At Foothill, Dakota Maack tallied three goals, and Robert Cowan added two goals and an assist to power the Falcons past the Grizzlies.

Parker Erickson had a goal and an assist, and Michael Dolmont supplied a goal for Foothill.

Andrew Bustios scored on a penalty kick for Spring Valley.

Liberty 5, Cimarron-Memorial 2 — At Liberty, Danny Musovski scored four goals to lift the Patriots over the Spartans.

Chandler Prasad notched a goal for Liberty.

Angel Esparza and Scotty Robles each had a goal for Cimarron.

Pahrump Valley 5, Boulder City 5 — At Boulder City, the Eagles built a 4-1 first-half lead but had to rally to tie the Trojans.

Yann Mancayo had two goals and an assist to lead Boulder City. Teammates Kurt Steinke, Nicholas Walker and James Walsh also scored.

Ramon Sanchez, Jason Runnion and Raul Maldonado each had a goal and an assist to lead the Trojans, who scored four unanswered goals to take a 5-4 lead. Teammates Nico Cipollini and Nolan Toomer added one goal apiece.

Eldorado 4, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Eldorado, Alexis Soto scored once and added two assists to lead the Sundevils over the Miners.

Edgar Duran, Israel Hernandez and Chris Perez each had a goal for Eldorado.

Alejandro Enciso scored for Sunrise Mountain.

Valley 6, Mojave 2 — At Valley, Eric Sanchez scored three goals, and Alejandro Parra added a goal and two assists as the Vikings cruised past the Rattlers.

Dawit Tesfa and Gabriel Lopez each scored a goal, and Marco Gonzalez and Jonathan Cerda each supplied two assists for Valley.

Ivan Martinez and Lynno Muro each had a goal for Mojave.
