ROUNDUP: Borjas’ late goal leads Valley past Chaparral

Julio Borjas scored the winning goal with less than a minute to play Tuesday as Valley’s boys soccer team nipped visiting Chaparral, 2-1.

Carlos Flores-Zecena also scored for the Vikings, who led 1-0 at the half.

Mike Lopez scored for the Cowboys.

Desert Pines 2, Eldorado 2 — At Eldorado, the Jaguars and Sundevils played to a tie.

Ivan Perez and Gerardo Romero scored for Desert Pines. Ruben Duran and Oscar Fuentes scored for Eldorado.

Rancho 2, Canyon Springs 0 — At Rancho, Jorge Lopez scored once and assisted on the other goal, and Jonathan Amora picked up the shutout to lead the Rams over the Pioneers.

Ivan Romero added a goal for Rancho.

Las Vegas 10, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Las Vegas High, Joaquin Rivas scored five goals as the Wildcats built a 9-0 halftime lead and routed the Miners.

Erick Fedde scored two goals for the Wildcats, and Steven Venavidez, Cesar Landin and Michael Boldry each added a goal.

Aaron Lopez was in goal for the shutout.

Del Sol 4, Foothill 2 — At Del Sol, Mario Ovalle had two goals and an assist to lead the Dragons over the Falcons.

Edgar Perez and Jess Romero each scored a goal for Del Sol.

Christian Volesky scored both goals for Foothill.

Tech 2, Liberty 0 — At Tech, Eddie Lopez and Esteban Corona each had a goal to lead the Roadrunners past the Patriots.

Abdel Rodriguez posted the shutout.

Coronado 3, Basic 1 — At Basic, Bobby Long, Mike Pillard and Sayed Sadoussossat each scored a goal to lead the Cougars past the Wolves.

Eric Crum scored for Basic.

Silverado 1, Green Valley 1 — At Green Valley, Kyle Porterfield scored the tying goal with four minutes to play as the Gators rallied to draw the Skyhaks.

Kyle Mellies scored for Silverado.

Boulder City 6, Adelson School 0 — At Boulder City, Todd Teepen scored three goals to lead the Eagles past Adelson School.

Trevor Montgomery added a goal and two assists, and Jon Lyon and Kyle McLeod also scored for Boulder City.

Richard Pappas was in goal for the shutout.

GIRLS

Pahrump Valley 2, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Shelby Hughes and Melissa Ewing each had a goal as the Trojans topped the Bulldogs.

Hailey Williams got the shutout for Pahrump.
