ROUNDUP: Corona taps one in early, lifts Tech to Southeast League

Esteban Corona’s goal 10 minutes into the first half was all Tech’s boys soccer team needed to take over sole possession of first place in the Southeast League on Friday.
Corona’s marker was the only goal as the visiting Roadrunners handed Green Valley its first loss of the year, 1-0. Tech improved to 9-3-1 overall and 9-2-0 for 27 points in league play. The Gators fell to 12-1-4, 7-1-3.
The goal came after a long throw-in deep into Green Valley territory. Kevin Jimenez touched the ball to Corona, who buried his shot.

Abdel Rodriguez made five saves to earn the shutout for Tech.
Coronado 4, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, Bobby Long, Mike Tillard, Jesus Maciel and Jordan Yergensen each had one goal as Coronado downed the Skyhawks.
Danny Sellitti made two saves to earn a shutout.
Del Sol 3, Basic 0— At Del Sol, Eric Beil, Chris Calderon and Mario Ovalle each scored a second-half goal to help the Dragons blank Basic.
Daniel Fernandez earned the shutout for the Dragons.
Foothill 2, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Christian Volesky scored a pair of second-half goals as the Falcons blanked the Patriots.
James Brazier was in goal for the shutout.
Bonanza 5, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Chad Smith scored three goals and had an assist as the visiting Bengals pulled away by scoring four times in the second half.
Robby Sagel added two goals for Bonanza.
Billy Sagel made eight saves to earn the shutout.
Bishop Gorman 4, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Shane Thompson scored three goals to lift Gorman past the Mountain Lions.
Austin Cain tallied the other goal for the Gaels.
Jake O’Rourke and Thomas Olsen combined for the shutout.
Western 4, Pahrump Valley 2— At Western, the Warriors scored three first-half goals and held off Pahrump.
Felipe Medina scored two goals, and Abraham Navarro and Joshua Ballard added a goal apiece for Western. Eduardo Hernandez had two assists for the Warriors.
Alex Morrell and Lucas Esser each scored one goal for the Trojans.
Clark 7, Durango 0— At Clark, Salvador Bernal scored three goals as the Chargers blitzed Durango.
Ray Saavedra provided two goals, and Juan Regalado added one goal and one assist. Edgar Galvan also scored for Clark.
Oscar Gamez earned the shutout for the Chargers.
Arbor View 7, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Arbor View, Johnny Mayorga had two goals and two assists in the Aggies’ rout of Shadow Ridge.
Nico Johnson added two goals, and Taylor Jones, Brett Shapiro and Andre Winchell had a goal apiece for Arbor View. Kyle Winthorp had two assists for the Aggies.
Trey Anderson scored Shadow Ridge’s lone goal.
Centennial 9, Mojave 1— At Centennial, Chance Rosa scored three goals as the Bulldogs cruised to victory over Mojave.
Diego Zacarias, Erik Christiansen, Blake Frischknecht, Mikey Sylva, Josh Sylva, and Jonathan Lennstroem-Nystroem each scored for Centennial. Josh Sylva added two assists.
Miguel Agguire scored the lone goal for the Rattlers.
Palo Verde 5, Cheyenne 0 — At Palo Verde, Justin Mayorga had a goal and two assists as the Panthers blanked Cheyenne.
Parth Luhar, Matt Polster, Shane Panther and Ramon Alas-Cruz also scored for Palo Verde. Matej Kustura added two assists.
Colton McCann made three saves to register a shutout.
Legacy 2, Cimarron-Memorial 1— At Legacy, Julio Uribe and Gerardo Reynoso each scored goals in the first half to lead the Longhorns past Cimarron.
Alex Valencia scored for the Spartans.
Chaparral 4, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Cristobal Rojas and Christian Ayala each scored two goals as Chaparral downed the Rams.
Luis Zavala had three assists for the Cowboys.
Anthony Lopez was in goal for the shutout.
Eldorado 9, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Ruben Duran scored four goals as the Sundevils whipped the Miners.
Martin Rivera added a goal and three assists, and Carlos Jaramillo had a goal and two assists for Eldorado. Oscar Fuentes, Onofre Mesa and Logan Ziegler also scored for the Sundevils.
Ricardo Sandoval made seven saves and registered a shutout.
Desert Pines 2, Las Vegas 0 — At Desert Pines, Francisco Lopez and Gerardo Romero each scored a first-half goal as the Jaguars stunned Las Vegas.
Angel Guzman made seven saves to earn a shutout.
Valley 3, Canyon Springs 2 — At Canyon Springs, Bruno Carillo scored two goals as Valley outlasted the Pioneers.
Anthony Clark also scored for the Vikings.
Anthony Mondragon and Ramon Sanchez had Canyon Springs’ goals.
GIRLS
Faith Lutheran 14, White Pine 0— At Faith Lutheran, the Crusaders scored nine second half goals to whip White Pine.
Sydney Spoon and Krystal Onyema each scored three goals, and Kari Moloney and Alexis Tafoya each added two goals for Faith Lutheran.
Maddie Courvoisier, Taylor Pori, Ahmy Ahmed and Jessica Nelson each had one goal for the Crusaders.
Kelly Zufall had five saves and earned the shutout.
