Roundup: Durango edges Liberty in Southern Nevada Kick-Off

Christopher Bramasco and Marcos Delgado each scored two goals to lead Durango’s boys soccer team to a 5-3 home win over Liberty in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic on Friday.

Delgado also had an assist for the Trailblazers.

Tyson Tesfamariam also scored a goal and had one assist for Durango.

Max Patton, David Leon, and Hayden Prasad each had one goal for Liberty.

Foothill 2, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Zachary Sines and Colton Cook both had a goal to help the Falcons to a victory over the Mountain Lions in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

William Potter made three saves en route to the shutout for Foothill.

Coronado 3, Reed 1 — In South Lake Tahoe, California, Alfredo Diaz scored two goals for the Cougars as they defeated the Raiders.

P.J. Grahm also scored one goal and had one assist and Lincoln Aquino tallied two assists for Coronado.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Silverado 0 — At Cimarron, Jimi Villasenor scored a goal and had one assist as he led the Spartans to a victory over the Skyhawks in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Fernando Arevalo and Andrew Arias each scored a goal for the Spartans.

Dylan Crosby recorded the shutout for Cimarron.

Spring Valley 4, Cheyenne 1 — At Spring Valley, Jeff Rivera had one goal and one assist to help the Grizzlies rout the Desert Shields.

Bum Cho, Jose Urrutia-Lopez and Charles Rendon also scored goals for Spring Valley, and teammate Cysco Martinez had three assists.

Saul Chavez-Ramierz had a goal for Cheyenne.

Sunrise Mountain 2, Spring Creek 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Angel Arreola had two goals to help the Miners to a shutout victory.

Jonzo Jimenez-Vasquez and Eric Guillen-Parente had assists, and Enrique Perez and Christian Morales combined to record the shutout for Sunrise Mountain.

Equipo Academy 4, Legacy 1 — Edgar Torres had two goals and one assist to help the Yetis top the Longhorns.

Edward Diaz chipped in two goals for Equipo. John Gandarilla had three assists for the Yetis.

Ignacio Rangel scored the Longhorns’ lone goal.

Palo Verde 8, Centennial 1 — At Centennial, Tanner Stevenson led the Panthers’ offensive attack with two goals as they rolled past the Bulldogs in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Michael Vogel added a goal and two assists, and Tyler Olenak and Cole Lloyd each had a goal and an assist for Palo Verde, which also got goals from Anthony Kaskie, Bryan Montoya and Antonio Gomez.

Jason Elgaard scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs off of a free-kick.

Western 7, Arbor View 1 — At Western, Juan Estrada scored four goals and had one assist as the Warriors rolled past the Aggies.

Brayan Gonzalez scored a goal and had three assists, and Andy Rodriguez had one goal and one assist for Western, which also got a goal from Adrian Vazquez.

Desert Pines 7, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Desert Pines, Joel Sanchez had three goals as the Jaguars defeated the Trojans in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Bryan Vasquez-Rojas, Durango Solorzano, Hector Zamilpa-Romero, and Erick Santillan each scored one goal for Desert Pines.

Tech 5, Chaparral 0 — At Tech, Alex Meija had a goal and two assists, and Yobani Garcia-Benitez had three saves to help the Roadrunners shut out the Cowboys.

Luis Carrera, Alexander Calderon, Alan Lopez and Cruz Velazquez scored goals for Tech.

Bonanza 8, Basic 0 — At Basic, Luis Antonio scored two goals and recorded one assist to help lead the Bengals to a victory over the Wolves.

Emiliano Alfaro and Alex Kiss both chipped in two goals, and Elfrain Mayorga had a goal and an assist for Bonanza. Jonas Bryant added goal, and Martin Rodriguez-Gutierrez had three assists.

Alejandro Tabardillo made one save and Ivo Ramirez made three to combine for the shutout.

Clark 10, Somerset-Losee 0 — At Somerset-Losee, Juan Beltran had five goals as the Chargers routed Lions.

Brayden McWilliams had three goals and two assists, and Abraham Dolley had one goal and three assists.

Jacob Menchaca also had one goal and 2 assists for Clark.

Brian Miranda had two saves to record the shutout.

Coronado 5, Elko 0 — In South Lake Tahoe, California, Kealan O’Toole scored two goals and Alfredo Diaz had five assists as the Cougars rolled past the Indians in the South Tahoe Invitational.

Lincoln Aquino, Alex White, and Brock Rideout each scored one goal for the Cougars. Goalkeepers’ Josue Ruiz and Luca Capriosi combined on the shutout.

Green Valley 1, Show Low (Ariz.) 1 — At Green Valley, Estevan Uribe scored with just seven minutes left in the game as the Gators tied the Cougars in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.

Ryan Marcelino assisted Uribe’s second half goal.

Bishop Gorman 6, Truckee 0 — At South Lake Tahoe, California, Ryan Rasmussen had a goal and an assist to help the Gaels down the Wolverines in the South Tahoe Invitational.

Hayden Madsen, Caden Buckley, Matt Markham, Alex Daseler and Hiram Triana also scored for Gorman, which got two assists from Aidan Yamachika.

Jacob Hoapili and Diesel Fiore combined on the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 1, Sparks 0 — At South Lake Tahoe, California, Madsen’s second-half goal lifted the Gaels by the Railroaders in the South Tahoe Invitational.

For the second week in a row, there’s a new team in the No. 3 spot in the Review-Journal’s Class 5A football rankings. Bishop Gorman remains No. 1, and Arbor View is No. 2.
