ROUNDUP: Flores’ nets bounce-back goal in final 10 seconds as Vikings salvage point at Coronado

Eddie Flores’ rebound goal with 10 seconds remaining in the match capped a late rally Tuesday as Valley’s boys soccer team earned a 2-2 draw at Coronado.

Trailing 2-0 with five minutes to play, the Vikings cashed in on a free kick by Julio Borjas to cut the Cougars’ lead in half.

Flores’ tally followed, knocking in the rebound after Bruno Carillo glanced a shot to tie the match.

Manny Penagos and Jordan Yergensen scored second-half goals for Coronado.

Green Valley 2, Las Vegas 1 — At Green Valley, Daniel Mojica’s goal with five minutes to play lifted the Gators past the Wildcats.

Andrew Mantle also scored for Green Valley.

Eric Means tallied Las Vegas’ lone goal.

Chaparral 2, The Meadows 1 — At Chaparral, freshman Javier Quinonez scored the winning goal with two minutes remaining as the Cowboys tamed the Mustangs.

Fernando Noriego also scored for Chaparral, which trailed 1-0 with 13 minutes remaining.

Tech 3, Eldorado 0 — At Tech, Rafael Valdez, Luis Carranza and Jesus Herrera each netted a goal as the Roadrunners defeated the Sundevils.

Goalkeepers Abdel Rodriguez and Angel Gomez combined on the shutout.

Bonanza 4, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Giovanni Rodriguez scored two goals, and Robert Sagel supplied two assists as the Bengals blanked the Spartans.

Trey Oldenburg and Zaven Tsaturyan added a goal apiece, and William Sagel notched the shutout for Bonanza.

Spring Valley 4, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Spring Valley, Seth McGinn scored twice to lead the Grizzlies past the Miners.

Chris Kimmich and Ricky Gonzalez each added a goal for Spring Valley.

Eduardo Enciso scored the Miners’ lone goal.

Cheyenne 3, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Eduardo Santamaria, Jose Manuel Martinez and Abel Gutierrez scored to lead the Desert Shields past the Dragons.

Jesse Romero scored Del Sol’s only goal.

Rancho 5, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Juan Acosta had a goal and two assists to lead the Rams to a victory over the Bulldogs.

Arti Zepeda, Pedro Marquez, Lehi Calvo and Luis Lujan also scored goals for Rancho, which led 2-0 at halftime.

Rams goalkeeper Johnny Amora logged two saves to earn the shutout.

Boulder City 5, Liberty 3 — At Boulder City, Trevor Montgomery netted four goals as the Eagles peppered the Patriots’ goal.

Peter Stangjordet added a goal for Boulder City.

Desert Pines 9, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Victor Favela scored three goals and Noe Martinez added two in the Jaguars’ rout of the Pirates.

Jorge Reyos, Oscar Perez and Ruben Arzola also scored for Desert Pines.

Alejandro Almanza made five saves to register the clean sheet for the Jaguars.

GIRLS

Faith Lutheran 3, Boulder City 0 — At Kellogg-Zaher Park, Dani Theraldson scored two goals, and Kari Moloney added a goal as the Crusaders shut out the Eagles.

Faith Lutheran’s Marissa Fehrman had two assists, and goalkeeper Kelly Zufall earned the shutout.
