Roundup: Foothill’s Isaac Olsen scores twice to upset Coronado

Issac Olsen scored two goals, including the game-winner, to help Foothill’s boys soccer team to a 2-1 win at Coronado on Wednesday.

Trent Milne assisted both goals for Foothill.

John Lynam scored on an assist from Grant Smyth for Coronado.

Spring Valley 2, Durango 0 — At Spring Valley, the Grizzlies scored two first-half goals, and goalkeeper Ethan Harper had four saves to earn the shutout and get past the Trailblazers.

Cesar Estrada scored on an assist from Bum Cho, and teammate Cycsco Martinez scored on an assist from John Goecke for Spring Valley.

Moapa Valley 2, Boulder City 0 — At Overton, Tom Rohde and Sebastean Gutierrez both scored a goal as the Pirates defeated the Eagles.

Goalkeeper Tanner Johnson earned the shutout with five saves for Moapa Valley, which got an assist from Bryan Robles.

Chaparral 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Bryan Macias, Leo Gutierrez and Gabriel Caro each scored a goal as the Cowboys blanked the Bulldogs.

Miguel Mendoza, Alejandro Mota and Chris Lopez each tallied an assist for Chaparral, and goalkeeper Bruno Curiel notched four saves.

Bishop Gorman 5, Desert Oasis 1 — At Gorman, Alex Daseler scored three times as the Gaels downed the Diamondbacks.

Nikolas Oseland had a goal and an assist for the Gaels, and Nicholas Mardirossian also scored.

Haiko Hovak scored on a penalty kick for the Diamondbacks.

Green Valley 5, Basic 2 — At Basic, Joseph Vitellaro had two goals and three assists to lead the Gators to the win over the Wolves.

Dominick Mesa had a goal and an assist, and Thorne Kaufusi and Diego Uribe each added a goal for Green Valley.

Torres Miller had a goal and an assist for Basic, and teammate Joseph Escobar scored once.

Sierra Vista 5, Clark 3 — At Sierra Vista, Daniel Perez had three goals and two assists as the Mountain Lions took down the Chargers.

Sebastian Avalos and Tanner Erwin also had goals for the Mountain Lions.

Christopher Appah, Edgar Huerta and Tesfu Mebretom all scored for the Chargers.

Tech 8, Someret-Sky Pointe 0 — At Tech, Agustin Nunez had a goal and two assists, and the Roadrunners scored six-first-half goals en route to the easy win over the Eagles.

Eduardo Lopez-Garcia, Jose Bailon and Juan Mota each added a goal and an assist for Tech. Alejandro Carmona, Gabe Natividad, Alex Mejia and Alan Lopez also scored for the Roadrunners.

Yobani Garcia-Benitez and Kenny Flores combined on the shutout.

Liberty 5, Silverado 3 — At Silverado, Jaime Ayala scored twice for the Skyhawks, but they fell to the Patriots.

Joel Samayoa also scored for Silverado.
