Roundup: Gustavo Garcia-Reyes’ PK leads Cimarron past Palo Verde

Gustavo Garcia-Reyes scored on a penalty kick in the 34th minute to lead the Cimarron-Memorial boys soccer team to a 3-1 road win over Palo Verde on Monday.

Miguel Rubio and Kevin Andrade also scored goals for for the Spartans. Cimarron’s Erick Cuevas and Jimi Villasenor each had an assist.

Presten Manthey scored for the Panthers.

Centennial 2, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Centennial, Jacob Mecham broke a scoreless tie in the 50th minute as the Bulldogs beat the Crusaders.

Ariel Garcia also scored for Centennial.

Jacob Mays recorded the shutout with one save.

Eldorado 2, Rancho 1 — At Eldorado, Sebastian Ramirez scored twice to lead the Sundevils over the Rams.

Gustavo Luna scored for Rancho.

Legacy 1, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Peter Jankowski scored with eight minutes to play to give the host Mustangs a tie with the Longhorns.

Kody Kildea assisted on the goal.

Legacy took a 1-0 lead into halftime on an own goal.

Valley 0, Tech 0 — At Tech, the Roadrunners and Vikings played to a scoreless draw.

Tech goalkeeper Yobani Garcia-Benitez had six saves in the shutout.

David Ramirez also kept a clean sheet and had seven saves for the Vikings.

Canyon Springs 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Canyon Springs, Alejandro had a goal and an assist in the Pioneers’ victory over the Wildcats.

Eduardo Quintero-Rodriguez and Ramon Urias-Medina also scored for the Pioneers, and Miguel Duenas had the shutout.

Durango 5, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Tyson Tesfamariam had three goals in the Trailblazers’ victory over the Diamondbacks.

Jamie Munguia and Erick Martinez-Rodriguez also scored for Durango, which scored four goals in the second half.

Alan Flores scored for Desert Oasis.

Sunrise Mountain 8, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Felipe Lucero had two goals and an assist to lead the Miners over the Rattlers.

Miners’ Bryan Martinez and Jonzo Jimenez-Vazquez also scored two goals, Bryan Garcia had one goal and four assists, and Julian Herrera had one goal and had one assist.

Jesus Ubario-Ocha scored for Mojave.

Western 8, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Western, Juan Estrada had three goals an assist as the Warriors blanked the Trojans.

Elizandro Zaragoza scored twice for Western, and Julio Flores and Efrain Reyes each had a goal and an assist.

Henry Ceballos also scored for the Warriors, and Francisco Corona made one save in the shutout.

Desert Pines 5, Adelson School 2 — At The Adelson School, Joel Sanchez scored two goals to lead the Jaguars to a victory over the Lions.

Desert Pines’ Johan Matamoros and Erick Santillan each scored one goal, Nestor Vivero-Mera added a goal and an assist, and Bryan Vazquez-Rojas added two assists.

Dylan Soresman scored both goals for Adelson School.
