Roundup: Jesse Mako, Anthony Navarro-Marquez pace Valley to victory

Jesse Mako and Anthony Navarro-Marquez each scored twice on Thursday to lift Valley’s boys soccer team to a 5-2 victory over visiting Foothill.

Samuel Milenge tacked on a goal for the Vikings.

Isaac Olsen scored twice for the Falcons.

Sierra Vista 2, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Daniel Perez and Justin Prescia each scored a goal to lift the Mountain Lions to a victory over the Diamondbacks.

Tanner Erwin assisted on both goals for Sierra Vista.

Ethan Kovach scored for Desert Oasis.

Coronado 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas, Noah Velgos had a goal and an assist, and the Cougars scored three second-half goals to beat the Wildcats.

Alfredo Diaz and John Lynam also scored for Coronado, which got assists from Grant Smyth and Lincoln Aquino.

Goalkeeper Bradley Bolduc earned the shutout with four saves for the Cougars.

Liberty 3, Canyon Springs 3 — At Canyon Springs, the Pioneers scored three second-half goals to secure a tie with the visiting Patriots.

Roberto Salazar, Eduardo Quintero-Rodriguez and Edgar Muniz each had a goal for Canyon Springs.

Hayden Prasad had two goals and an assist to lead Liberty. Ben Stang added a goal and two assists for the Patriots.

Durango 6, Clark 2 — At Clark, Tyson Tesfamariam had three goals and an assist to lead the Trailblazers past the Chargers.

Marcos Delgado scored two goals, and Alfredo Robles-Rodriguez scored a goal for Durango.

Jaime Munguia had two assists for the Trailblazers.

Abraham Dolley scored two goals to lead the Chargers, and teammate Angel Suarez had two assists.

Basic 4, Boulder City 1 — At Basic, Morten Serensen had two goals and an assist to lead the Wolves over the Eagles.

Elijah Buchanan added a goal and an assist, and Pablo Sanchez scored a goal for Basic.

Caden Mendiola scored for Boulder City.

Tech 5, Virgin Valley 0 — At Tech, Cruz Velazquez scored twice as the Roadrunners topped the Bulldogs.

Alex Meija added a goal and two assists, and Gabriel Aguilar and Agustin Nunez each scored once for Tech.

Eduardo Gomez had two assists for the Roadrunners.

Yobani Garcia-Benitez and Kenny Flores combined on the shutout. The game was shortened by 15 minutes because of lightning.

Spring Valley 2, Bonanza 0 — At Spring Valley, Jeffer Alvarez-Rivera and Juan Pablo Tena each scored a goal to lift the Grizzlies to a victory over the Benglals.

Ethan Harper and Alejandro Lopez combined for seven saves and a shutout for Spring Valley.

Chaparral 5, Moapa Valley 0 — At Chaparral, Bryan Macias had two goals and an assist as the Cowboys blanked the Pirates.

Miguel Mendoza, Angelo Grossi and Alexander Caro each scored goals for the Cowboys. Luisangel Fernandez and Osbaldo Espinoza each had assists.

Goalkeeper Gerardo Wence had two saves to preserve the shutout.

Del Sol 8, Somerset-Sky Pointe 0 — At Del Sol, Sergio Calderon had three goals and an assist as the Dragons routed the Eagles.

Richard Magallon-Escalera, Jose Moreno-Mendez and Yerovys Vargas-Gill each scored a goal and had an assist.

Ismael Veloz and Jonathan Carranza-Ramirez each scored goals for Del Sol.

Goalkeepers Jesus Gallardo, Edgar Gazal-Frausto and Rene Teodoro combined for the shutout in goal.
