Roundup: Late goal helps Sierra Vista beat Clark

Tanner Erwin scored his second goal on an assist from Jadon Jeffery to break a 1-1 tie and give Sierra Vista’s boys soccer team a 2-1 win over host Clark on Tuesday afternoon.

Stefano Villagomez assisted on Erwin’s first-half goal for Sierra Vista.

Christopher Appah scored on an assist from Abraham Dolley for Clark’s lone goal.

Liberty 2, Green Valley 1 — At Green Valley, Andrew Velasco scored late in the second half to give the Patriots the win over the Gators.

Quinn Rankin also scored for Liberty. Goalkeeper Jorge Rodriguez made two key saves late to preserve the lead.

Estevan Uribe had Green Valley’s goal.

Bishop Gorman 2, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Alexander Daseler and Corrigan Neville each scored as the Gaels topped the Diamondbacks.

Diesel Fiore made five saves in the Gaels’ clean sheet.

Durango 3, Spring Valley 1 — At Durango, William Hailu and Marcos Delgado each tallied a goal and an assist to help the Trailblazers hold off the Grizzlies.

Jamie Munguia scored a goal and Tyson Tesfamariam added an assist for Durango. Cesar Estrada scored the lone goal for Spring Valley. The game was tied 1-1 at halftime.

Foothill 2, Silverado 0 — At Foothill, Isaac Olsen and Kapono Maruyama each scored as the Falcons beat the Skyhawks.

William Potter and Nathan Flood split the shutout for Foothill.

Tech 8, Somerset-Sky Pointe 0 — At Somerset-Sky Pointe, Agustin Nunez scored four goals as the Roadrunners stymied the Eagles.

Durand Farr, Gabriel Aguilar, Cruz Velazquez, and Jose Bailon each added a goal for Tech, which scored all eight goals in the first half.

Coronado 10, Basic 0 — At Basic, John Lynam’s six goals and one assist powered the Cougars in a rout of the Wolves.

Andrew Siciliano scored twice for the Cougars, Brock Rideout had a goal and two assists, and Trenton Tondryk scored.

Coronado’s Grant Smyth and Noah Velgos each had two assists for Coronado, which got a three-save shutout from Bradley Bolduc.

The Meadows 4, Innovations International 0 — At The Meadows, Obinna Ezeanolue scored four goals as the Mustangs shut out the Ambassadors.

Goalkeeper Camden Saxe earned the shutout with two saves for The Meadows, which got an assist from Sahil Patel.
