Roundup: Nicklaus Dongmann scores twice to force draw for Arbor View

Arbor View’s Nicklaus Dongmann scored the second of his two goals with 10 minutes remaining in regulation Friday to force a 2-2 road draw in a Sunset Region boys soccer match against Sierra Vista.

Daniel Perez and Sebastian Avalos scored for Sierra Vista, which led 1-0 at halftime.

Western 3, Canyon Springs 2 — At Western, Gustavo Sanchez scored two goals to lead the Warriors over the Pioneers.

Juan Estrada scored Western’s other goal.

Jesus Gonzalez scored for the Pioneers.

Palo Verde 4, Durango 0 — At Palo Verde, four Panthers scored in their shutout of the Trailblazers.

Ryan Nogues, Antonio Gomez, Tanner Stevenson and Dylan Rath all had goals for Palo Verde.

Hudson Huckfeldt recorded the shutout with two saves.

Bishop Gorman 6, Desert Pines 2 — At Desert Pines, Corrigan Neville’s two goals led the Gaels to a victory over the Jaguars.

Larson Altschul, Jeffrey Wright, and Caden Buckley each scored a goal, and Alexander Daseler had a goal and an assist for Gorman. Ryan Rasmussen added two assists for the Gaels.

Brandon Najera and Joel Sanchez each scored a goal for Desert Pines.

Legacy 6, Cheyenne 1 — At Legacy, Diego Gonzalez-Ruiz and Spencer Vazquez each scored two goals as the Longhorns defeated the Desert Shields.

Aalan Rosales had a goal and an assist, and Abimael Medina also scored for Legacy.

Chaparral 5, Show Low (Ariz.) 1 — At Show Low, Arizona, Alexander Caro scored three goals to power the Cowboys by the Cougars in the Show Low Invitational.

Osbaldo Espinoza and Miguel Mendoza also scored for Chaparral.

Green Valley 4, Snowflake (Ariz.) 0 — At Show Low, Arizona, goalkeeper J.J. Scott kept a clean sheet for the Gators as they defeated the Lobos in the Show Low Invitational.

Joseph and Vincent Vitellaro each scored a goal, and Angel Espinoza and Estevan Uribe also scored a goal apiece for Green Valley. Uribe also had an assist.

Green Valley 6, Show Low (Ariz.) 1 — At Show Low, Arizona, Uribe and Elyjah Deleon each scored two goals as the Gators rolled past the Cougar in the Show Low Invitational.

Vincent Vitellaro and Zachary Hanson each scored a goal, and Dominick Mesa had two assists for Green Valley.

Faith Lutheran 4, Snowflake (Ariz.) 1 — At Show Low, Arizona, Abel Mendoza’s two goals led the Crusaders past the Lobos in the Show Low Invitational.

Gabriel Miranda and Abigay Gomez each scored a goal, and Derek Heinish had two assists for Faith Lutheran.

Faith Lutheran 8, Kirtland Central 0 (N.M.) — At Show Low, Arizona, Abigay Gomez’s four goals led the Crusaders as they rolled past the Broncos.

Gabriel Mendoza, Terrence Thibedi, Miranda, and Tyler Martin all scored once. Abel Mendoza also added two assists.

Silverado 14, Kirtland Central (N.M.) 1 — At Show Low, Arizona, David Matias-Flores’ four goals and two assists led the Skyhawks to victory over the Broncos in the Show Low Invitational.

Silverado’s Connor Barlow had three goals and an assist, Jaime Ayala had two goals and an assist, and Sean Borla scored two goals. Carter Overland had a goal and three assists, and Frank Rodriz and Zach Jenkins each notched a goal and an assist for the Skyhawks.

Blue Ridge (Ariz.) 4, Chaparral 2 — At Show Low, Arizona, the Fighting Tigers scored twice in the second half to break a 2-2 tie and top the Cowboys in the Show Low Invitational.

Mendoza had a goal and an assist, and Espinoza scored a goal for Chaparral.

Blue Ridge (Ariz.) 4, Silverado 0 —At Show Low, Arizona, the Yellow Jackets shut out the Shyhawks in the Show Low Invitational.
