ROUNDUP: Salcido, Roadrunners knock off 2011 boys state champs

Derian Salcido scored two goals to help Tech’s boys soccer team to a 3-1 home victory over Legacy on Tuesday.
Rafael Munoz also scored for the Roadrunners, and teammate Julio Vargas added two assists.
Saul Aguirre scored a first-half goal for Legacy, which won the last two Class 4A state titles.
Canyon Springs 6, Foothill 2 — At Foothill, Jonathan Martinez scored four goals, and Alan Meza added four assists as the Pioneers topped the Falcons.
Nolan Mumford and Gaspar Gonzalez also scored for Canyon Springs.
Chris Armas and Robby Cowan had Foothill’s goals.
Sierra Vista 1, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Alejandro Jimenez scored on a penalty kick in the second half to give the Diamondbacks a tie with the Mountain Lions.
Giovanni Amaya scored an unassisted goal in the first half for Sierra Vista.
Palo Verde 2, Centennial 1 — At Palo Verde, Mitchell Scott had a first-half goal, and Kyler Obata scored in the second half to help the Panthers edge the Bulldogs.
Andres Perez notched Centennial’s goal.
Desert Pines 3, Eldorado 3 — At Eldorado, Oscar Perez had a goal and an assist to help the Jaguars to earn a tie with the Sundevils.
Luis Rivera and Genaro Corona also scored for Desert Pines.
Andres Lua scored twice for Eldorado, which got a goal from Leonardo Martinez.
Mojave 3, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Juan Ramirez scored two goals to help the Rattlers beat the Cowboys.
Ivan Martinez added a goal for Mojave, which took over with two goals in the second half.
Jose Martinez scored Chaparral’s goal.
Liberty 10, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Danny Musovski had five goals and an assist to lead the Patriots past the Crusaders.
Alex Camacho, Filip Podstavka, Rese Comas, Keaton Wight and Christian Robles also scored for Liberty.
Chris Bradford earned the shutout.
Western 4, Basic 1 — At Western, Luis Ponce had two goals and assist, and Marvin Rosales supplied a goal and an assist as the Warriors beat the Wolves.
Fernando Caro added a goal for Western.
Christian Rodriguez scored Basic’s goal.
Clark 4, Boulder City 3 — At Clark, Manuel Ponce scored twice to help the Chargers hold of the Eagles.
Angel Luna and Alan Munoz each added a goal for Clark.
Yann Moncayo and Massimo Barbieri scored for Boulder City.
Virgin Valley 2, The Meadows 1 — At Mesquite, Marcelo Lara scored two second-half goals to help the Bulldogs rally to beat the Mustangs.
