ROUNDUP: Soro’s two goals propel first-place Clark over Sierra Vista

Angelo Soro scored twice in the first 15 minutes of the second half Friday to rally Clark’s boys soccer team to a 2-1 victory at Sierra Vista on Friday.
Clark maintained a one-point lead over Bishop Gorman in the Southwest League.
Christian Djordjevic scored on a penalty kick for the Mountain Lions.
Bishop Gorman 4, Bonanza 0 — At Gorman, Sean Zaher and Nic Eary each had a goal and an assist to help the Gaels defeat Bonanza.
Ramak Roohani and Gabe Merced also scored for Gorman, and Jake O’Rourke made 10 saves to earn the shutout.
Spring Valley 6, Desert Oasis 0 — At Spring Valley, Mutaz Alghouleh scored three of the Grizzlies’ five first-half goals in a rout of Desert Oasis.
Sean McGinn, Vince Leon and Nadav Elimanlech also scored, and Ricky Gonzalez had two assists.
John Strand made one save to register the shutout.
Durango 1, Western 1 — At Durango, Jason Haygarth’s goal midway through the second half allowed the Trailblazers to tie Western.
Jose Alatorre scored in the first half for the Warriors.
Las Vegas 2, Rancho 2 — At Rancho, Jaime Toscano scored twice in the second half, including the tying goal with a minute remaining as Las Vegas clinched the Northeast League title. The Wildcats are 9-0-2 in league play.
Eldorado 0, Valley 0 — At Valley, Eldorado goalkeeper Alberto Alvarez and Valley goalkeeper Pedro Arias each posted a shutout.
Chaparral 7, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Gibran Handerman and Francisco Sanchez scored two goals apiece to help Chaparral rout the Pioneers.
Erick Araujo, Hugo Barciago and Alberto Bravo also scored for the Cowboys, and Anthony Lopez registered the shutout.
White Pine 8, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, White Pine scored six goals in the second half to pull away from the Pirates.
Johnny Holloway scored three goals and Nathan Hughes two for the Bobcats. Cody Kopp, Colton Stones and Tommy Tolbert each added a goal for White Pine.
Augusto Machado scored for Moapa Valley.
GIRLS
White Pine 6, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, White Pine moved into fourth place in the Class 3A Southern League with a win over the Pirates.
