Roundup: Valley holds off Liberty at home

Carlos Mendez supplied a goal and two assists Tuesday as the Valley boys soccer team held off visiting Liberty, 5-4.

Samuel Milenge added a goal and an assist for the Vikings. Anthony Navarro-Marquez, Victor Rivera and Jesse Mako also scored for Valley.

Liberty’s Ben Stang had three goals, and teammate Keanu Sanchez also scored. Quinn Rankin had three assists for the Patriots.

Bishop Gorman 3, Spring Valley 2 — At Gorman, Alexander Daseler scored with 22 minutes left to break a 2-2 tie and give the Gaels the victory.

Corrigan Neville scored on a penalty kick, and Larson Altschul added a goal for Gorman.

John Goecke and Miguel Rodriguez each had a goal for the Grizzlies.

Sierra Vista 2, Bonanza 2 — At Bonanza, Trevor Lewis scored in the final two minutes to give the visiting Mountain Lions a tie with the Bengals.

Tanner Erwin scored the other goal for Sierra Vista.

Efrain Mayorga and Guillermo Mungia each had a goal for Bonanza.

Las Vegas 1, Green Valley 0 — At Green Valley, Nathan Zamora scored late in the second half on an assist from Sergio Aguayo to give the Wildcats the win over the Gators.

Virgin Valley 1, Moapa Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Christian Martinez scored early in the second half on an assist from Jesus Navarro, and the Bulldogs held on to blank the Pirates.

Hayden Johnson tallied six saves and got the shutout for Virgin Valley.

Canyon Springs 3, Silverado 1 — At Silverado, Edgar Muniz scored two goals to lead the Pioneers over the Skyhawks.

Eduardo Quintero-Rodriguez scored the other goal for Canyon Springs.

David Matias-Flores scored for the Skyhawks.

Del Sol 3, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Yerovys Vargas-Gill had a goal and an assist as the Dragons got past the Cowboys.

Jose Moreno-Mendez and Oscar Morales-Casimiro each added a goal, and Ismael Veloz and Sergio Calderon each supplied an assist for Del Sol.

Miguel Mendoza scored on a free kick for Chaparral. The game was scoreless at halftime.

Desert Oasis 3, Clark 1 — At Desert Oasis, Kevin Nevinger had a goal and an assist in the Diamondbacks’ victory over the Chargers.

Haiko Hovak and Ethan Kovach also scored for Desert Oasis.

Jacobo Solid had the Chargers’ goal.

Eldorado 5, Foothill 1 — At Eldorado, Sebastian Ramirez and Roberto Soto each scored two goals, and the Sundevils outscored the Falcons 3-0 in the second half to earn the win.

Jonathan Pinal also scored for Eldorado.

Trent Milne scored on a free kick for Foothill.

Coronado 4, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, John Lynam had two goals and an assist as the Cougars took down the Rams.

Harrison Mirolla and Brock Rideout each added a goal, and Noah Velgos supplied an assist for Coronado. The Cougars led 2-1 at halftime.

Durango 6, Basic 1 — At Basic, Marcos Delgado had three goals as the Trailblazers beat the Wolves.

Christopher Hernandez and Erick Martinez-Rodriguez recorded a goal and an assist, Jaime Munguia scored a goal for Durango, which scored five second-half goals.

Pablo Sanchez scored on an assist from Chasce Ronquillo for Basic.

Boulder City 1, Somerset-Sky Pointe 1 — At Somerset-Sky Pointe, Alex Krausman scored in the 50th minute to give Boulder City a tie with Somerset-Sky Pointe.

Don Jean-Francois scored on a free kick in the first half for Somerset-Sky Pointe.
