Roundup: Western scores three second-half goals to win at Palo Verde

Juan Estrada had two goals and an assist, and the Western boys soccer team scored three times in the second half on Thursday to break a 2-2 tie and defeat host Palo Verde, 5-3.
Brayan Gonzalez and Elizandro Zaragoza each had a goal and an assist for the Warriors, and teammate Juan Arrendondo-Alvarez also scored.
Presten Manthey led Palo Verde with two goals. Zechariah Ruffer scored a goal, and Antonio Gomez had two assists for the Panthers.
Liberty 2, Green Valley 1 — At Liberty, Ben Stang scored two second-half goals to help the Patriots edge the Gators.
Jose Salcedo and Hayden Prasad each supplied an assist for Liberty.
Joseph Vitellaro scored on an assist from Estevan Uribe for Green Valley.
Tech 1, Del Sol 0 — At Tech, Alan Lopez scored a first-half goal off an assist from Cruz Velazquez as the Roadrunners edged the Dragons.
Goalkeeper Yobani Garcia-Benitez made four saves to earn the shuout.
Bishop Gorman 0, Clark 0 — At Gorman, the Gaels and Chargers played to a scoreless draw.
Kauila Hoapili recorded the shutout with two saves for Gorman, which hit the post three times and crossbar once but couldn’t convert its chances.
Clark’s Victor Moreno had the shutout with 10 saves.
Durango 3, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Jaime Munguia scored twice to lead the Trailblazers over the Bengals.
Tyson Tesfamariam added a goal, and Marcos Delgado had two assists for Durango.
Martin Rodriguez-Gutierrez scored for Bonanza.
Foothill 3, Silverado 1 — At Silverado, Isaac Olsen, Zach Sines and Kapono Maruyama each scored a first-half goal to lead the Falcons by the Skyhawks.
Dylan Verrastro had an assist for Foothill.
Jaime Ayala scored Silverado’s goal.
Spring Valley 4, Sierra Vista 1 — At Spring Valley, John Goecke and Bum Cho each had a goal and an assist in the Grizzlies’ win over the Mountain Lions.
Miguel Rodriguez and Patrick Falkensammer each added a goal for Spring Valley, which led 3-0 at halftime.
Daniel Perez scored a goal for Sierra Vista.
Coronado 8, Basic 0 — At Coronado, John Lynum had three goals and an assist as the Cougars rolled to a win over the Wolves.
Lincoln Aquino added a goal and three assists, and Grant Smyth and Javier Vazquez each had a goal and an assist for Coronado.
Paul Graham and Noah Velgos each scored once for the Cougars. Bradley Bolduc made three saves to get the shutout.
Chaparral 7, Somerset-Sky Pointe 1 — At Somerset-Sky Pointe, Miguel Mendoza had two goals and an assist as the Cowboys routed the Eagles.
Bryan Macias added two goals, and Gabriel Caro had a goal and an assist for the Cowboys, who also got goals from Alexander Caro and Alejandro Mota.
Sebastian St. Jules scored for Somerset-Sky Pointe.
Canyon Springs 9, SLAM Academy 0 — At Canyon Springs, Eduardo Quintero-Rodriguez and Edgar Donate each scored two goals, and Jesus Gonzalez and Alejandro Castro each added one goal and an assist to lead the Pioneers past the Bulls.
Ramon Urias-Medina had a goal and an assist, and David Ocegueda and Franklin Ramirez also scored for Canyon Springs, which led 5-0 at halftime.
Jorge Flores recorded the shutout.
Boulder City 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Julian Balmer had three goals to lead the Eagles past the Bulldogs.
Benson Deml, Robbie Leavitt and Alex Krausman each had an assist for Boulder City, which led 1-0 at halftime.
