ROUNDUP: Wildcats hang on to beat Silverado

Ruben Amezecua and Joaquin Rivas scored one goal each, and Las Vegas’ boys soccer team survived a potential match-tying penalty kick at the end of regulation Thursday to defeat visiting Silverado, 2-1.
Devin Diego scored for the Skyhawks.
Legacy 5, Western 3 — At Western, Julio Uribe scored three goals, and the visiting Longhorns pulled away from a 1-1 tie with two goals in the first five minutes of the second half to defeat the Warriors.
Andrew Salazar added a goal and an assist for the Longhorns. Eric Bajado also scored for Legacy.
Western’s Joshua Ballard, Felipe Medina and Bryan Mireles had one goal each.
Rancho 2, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Jorge Lopez and Osvaldo Cabrera scored second-half goals to help the visiting Rams down the Patriots.
Gerardo Mendoza recorded the shutout for Rancho.
Centennial 4, Durango 0 — At Centennial, Matt Kurtz had two goals and an assist to lead the Bulldogs past the Trailblazers.
Chance Rosa also scored two goals and Isaac Ramirez had two assists for Centennial.
Julien Mihy and Adrian Rodriguez combined on the shutout.
Green Valley 2, Chaparral 1 — At Green Valley, Tim Shue scored the winning goal on a free kick in the second half to lead the Gators over the Cowboys.
 
Rudy Strnad also scored for Green Valley.   
Salvador Cuellar scored the only goal for Chaparral. 
Foothill 5, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Foothill, Christian Volesky scored four goals to lead the Falcons past the Miners.
Volesky has seven goals in Foothill’s first two matches. Ryan Holmstron also scored for the Falcons.
Sergio Hernandez scored for Sunrise Mountain.
Clark 4, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Salvador Bernal scored twice and had an assist to lead the Chargers past the Desert Shields.
Juan Regalado and Ray Saavedra also scored for Clark. Juan Gomez added two assists.
Alfredo Marquez had Cheyenne’s goal.
Eldorado 2, Coronado 1 — At Coronado, Luis Cruz and Elias Peralta each scored to help the Sundevils nip the Cougars.
Adrian Zillareal scored for Coronado.
Del Sol 4, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, the Dragons broke open a tie match at the half with three second-half goals to beat the Pioneers.
Jose Osorio, Mario Ovave, Eric Bell and Jessie Ramero scored for Del Sol.
Eduardo Zurita scored for Canyon Springs.
Desert Pines 5, Basic 0 — At Desert Pines, Cruz Cortes scored three goals to lift the Jaguars past the Wolves.
Victor Savela and Carlos Sanchez also scored for Desert Pines, which got three assists from Francisco Lopez.
Angel Guzman recorded the shutout.

Faith Lutheran 3, Pahrump Valley 0 —
At Pahrump, Alex Grigoriev had a goal and an assist to help the Crusaders defeat the Trojans.
Wade Norman and Emron Ahmed each added a goal, and Marc Davies recorded the shutout. Davies had 13 saves and also assisted on a goal.
Arbor View 1, Spring Valley 1 — At Spring Valley, Nadav Elemilech scored with three minutes left in the first half to give Spring Valley the tie with the Aggies.
Nico Johnson scored for Arbor View.
Tech 2, Valley 2 — At Valley, Tech’s Oscar Velasquez scored with a minute to play to give the Roadrunners the tie with the Vikings.
Kevin Jimenez had Tech’s other goal.
Carlos Flores and Julio Borjas scored for Valley.
Palo Verde 3, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, the Panthers took a 1-0 halftime lead en route to the win.
Matt Polster, Michael Shapiro and Alex Shackley each scored for Palo Verde, and Matei Kuspera had two assists.
Sontana Intraweat scored for the Mountain Lions.
Bonanza 1, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Kevin Romero scored with 10 minutes to play to give the Spartans the tie with the Bengals.
Robbie Sagel scored for Bonanza.
Virgin Valley 2, Boulder City 2 — At Boulder City, Zac Haley and Trevor Montgomery each scored a second-half goal to help the Eagles rally from a 2-0 halftime deficit to tie Virgin Valley.
Joel Medina and Carlos Cano scored for the Bulldogs.
GIRLS
Faith Lutheran 13, Adelson School 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Krystal Onyema scored three goals as the Crusaders raced to a 9-0 halftime lead and cruised past the Lions.
Kari Moloney and Maddie Courvoisier each had a pair of goals and an assist for the Crusaders, who also received goals from Shaunna Lee, Lauren Meyer, Sydney Spoon, Ahmy Ahmed, Alexis Tafoya and Carsen McBeath.
Jessica Forage made two saves in recording the shutout.
Pahrump Valley 11, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Janet Garcia and Melissa Ewing each had two goals and an assist to help the visiting Trojans rout the Pirates.
Sara Moser added a goal and two assists for the Trojans. Also scoring a goal for Pahrump were Brianna Milk, Stevie McElheney, Taylor Raymer, Leanne Morrow, Ali Lara and Kaitlin Klem.
Brandi Monje made three saves to record the shutout.
