Shadow Ridge boys forfeit match to Cimarron

Shadow Ridge’s boys soccer team forfeited its match against Cimarron-Memorial on Wednesday because the Mustangs used an ineligible player.

Shadow Ridge was a 2-0 winner in the match.

Cimarron is credited with the win, but remained in third place in the Class 4A Northwest League. The Spartans will face Bishop Gorman in the opening round of the Sunset Region playoffs on Tuesday.

Shadow Ridge finished 1-13-2 overall, 1-11-2 in the league and fell to last place.
