SOCCER: Goalkeeper’s last-minute goal gives Tech boys tie with Green Valley

Goalkeeper Tyler Harvey scored the tying goal with less than 30 seconds remaining Thursday to allow Tech’s boys soccer team to earn a 2-2 draw at Green Valley.
Trailing 2-1, the Roadrunners brought all 11 players into the offensive end in the final minute, and Harvey cashed in off a corner kick.
Eduardo Sanchez also scored for Tech, which got two assists from Joel Velazquez.
Connor Malone and Ricardo Nunez scored for the Gators.
Chaparral 6, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Chaparral, Jose Morales scored three goals to lead the Cowboys to victory over the Crusaders.
Ivan Jaquez, Omar Miranda, and Servando Robledo each added a goal for Chaparral, which got a shutout from goalkeeper Gerardo Skewes.
Eldorado 1, Valley 0 — At Eldorado, Eddie Mercardo scored a first-half goal and the Sundevils held on to defeat the Vikings.
Goalkeepers Marcos Cuevas and Omar Ramirez combined for the shutout.
Arbor View 2, Sierra Vista 1 — At Arbor View, James Drye scored two second-half goals to lead the Aggies over the Mountain Lions.
Luis Vazquez netted Sierra Vista’s goal.
GIRLS
Faith Lutheran 3, Centennial 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Kristi Chinn had two goals and an assist to help the Crusaders top the Bulldogs in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off.
Megan Donnelly also scored for Faith Lutheran.
McKenna Stratton scored for Centennial.
Arbor View 1, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Haley Vicente scored a first-half goal, and the Aggies held off the Mustangs in the Southern Nevada Kick-Off.
Haylee Niemann had three saves and earned the shutout for Arbor View.
Valley 4, Eldorado 2 — At Eldorado, Kate Bordenaue, Neida Gutierrez and Miriam Jimenez each had a goal and an assist to lead the Vikings over the Sundevils.
Lillian Godinez also scored for Valley.
Lilia Palayo and Lucero Arias had Eldorado’s goals.
Cheyenne 7, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Cheyenne, Amairani Gomez had three goals, and Girly Tambeagbor had two goals and three assists to power the Desert Shields over the Miners.
Lelsy Rodriguez added a goal and an assist, and Isel Acosta scored a goal for Cheyenne, which got two assists from Karla Rodriguez.
Irene Meza had Sunrise Mountain’s goal.
