SOCCER: Nunez’s hat trick lifts Wildcats by Roadrunners

Daniel Nunez scored three goals Friday to help Las Vegas High’s boys soccer team to a 4-1 win over visiting Tech.

Alexis Barrios added a goal and an assist for the Wildcats.

Adolfo Guzman scored for the Roadrunners.

Green Valley 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Green Valley, Maliq Cooper, Alessandro Sanchez and Austin Quirt each scored once in the second half as the Gators downed the Spartans.

Antonio Trama had two assists for Green Valley.

Bryant Peralta made seven saves en route to the shutout.

Virgin Valley 1, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Moises Medina’s first-half goal stood up as the Bulldogs nipped the Pioneers.

Domingo Ramirez made nine saves to earn the shutout as the Pioneers took 37 total shots and hit the goal post three times.

Durango 1, Centennial 1 — At Durango, Oscar Rodriguez scored on a cross from Mauricio Garcia minutes after halftime to allow the Trailblazers to tie the Bulldogs.

Centennial’s Jimmy Santiago-Vasquez had a first-half goal.

Liberty 6, Basic 0 — At Liberty, Joey Hollimon had four goals and two assists to lead the Patriots by the Wolves.

Alex Camacho added a goal and an assist, and Mario Amesquita also scored for Liberty, which got two assists from Ben Stang.

Justin Lutes was in goal for the shutout.

GIRLS

Centennial 2, Green Valley 1 — At Centennial, McKenna Stratton scored two first-half goals, and the Bulldogs held on to beat the Gators.

Sydney Holborrow scored for Green Valley.

Tech 1, Las Vegas 1 — At Las Vegas, the Roadrunners and Wildcats played to a tie.

Tech’s Myan Lang and Las Vegas’ Alyssa Mireles exchanged second-half goals.
