SOCCER: Rasmussen’s goal gives Gorman boys win over Centennial

Justin Rasmussen scored the winning goal with 13 minutes left in the match Wednesday to lift Bishop Gorman's boys soccer team to a 1-0 victory over host Centennial.
Jacob Hoapili was in goal for the shutout for Gorman.
Valley 3, Green Valley 0 — At Valley, Damian Alvarez, Anthony Marquez and Andy Gonzales each scored a goal to lead the Vikings by the Gators.
Jesus Enriquez made six saves in a shutout for Valley.
Clark 3, Liberty 1 — At Clark, Oscar Mata scored two goals, including one on a penalty kick, to lead the Chargers by the Patriots.
Leo Franco also had a goal for Clark, which led 2-0 at halftime.
Joey Hollimon scored Liberty's goal.
GIRLS
Virgin Valley 1, Western 0 — At Mesquite, Abbie Barnum's goal with 18 minutes to play gave the Bulldogs the win over the Warriors.
Karla Correa assisted on the goal, and Spencer Green made six saves to get the shutout for Virgin Valley.
Green Valley 2, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Green Valley, Maggie Bender had a goal and an assist to lead the Gators past the Spartans.
Chloe Kirson also scored for Green Valley, which got nine saves from goalkeeper Kiyana Lopez.
Jazmin Centeno scored Cimarron's goal.
Legacy 7, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Gabriella Lancaster and Isabella Skrinjaric each scored two goals to help the Longhorns rout the Pirates.
Odaris Elias and Brittani Snook each added a goal for Legacy, which led 6-0 at halftime.
Jessica Ramirez earned the shutout for Legacy.
