2014 Pahrump Valley Girls Soccer Capsule

PAHRUMP VALLEY

Head coach: Pamela Larmouth, fifth season

2013 record: 18-1-2 (11-0-1 Sunset, first)

Returning letter winners (starters): Seven (four)

Top athletes: D Brittany Klenzcar (Sr.), D Alyssa Turner (Sr.), D Ashlyn DiBlasi (Sr.), MF Paige Chafee (Jr.)

Outlook: Losing the state’s all-time top scorer in Sydney Sladek is enough, but the Trojans graduated a big senior class.

Chafee (12 goals, four assists) is the only one of Pahrump’s top five scorers from last year returning.

“Our team will be rebuilding this year,” said Larmouth, whose squad finished second in the state last year. “We will need to fill vacant positions and work on team building.

“We are excited to work with new athletes, both junior varsity and incoming athletes, and find a rhythm that works for our team.”
