2017 Silverado Girls Soccer Capsule

SILVERADO

League: Class 4A Southeast

Head coach: Jenna Carter, 11th season

2016 record: 10-7 (5-5 Southeast, fourth)

Returning letter winners (starters): Eight (four)

Top athletes: F Margie Farnsworth (Sr.), D Kristyn Lommason (Jr.)

Outlook: The Skyhawks return just four starters from last year’s squad.

Farnsworth (8 goals) and Lommason (4 goals, 3 assists) should be among the team’s leaders this season.

“The Skyhawks are looking to be competitive in the Southeast League this season,” Carter said. “Having had eight seniors graduate last year, Silverado will be relying on new leadership on the field. Senior Margie Farnsworth returns as one of the team’s leading goal scorers, and junior Kristyn Lommason will anchor the Skyhawks’ defense.”
