Centennial routs Liberty in girls soccer opener

Sophie Krauza scored three goals and had an assist Thursday as defending Southern Nevada Class 4A champion Centennial kicked off the girls soccer season with a 9-0 home win over Liberty.
Siena Drizen and Ashley Mosley each scored twice for Centennial, which took a 7-0 halftime lead.
Erin McLaughlin and Brianna Arias added a goal apiece. Julie Owens had four assists.
Gretchen Mikulich and Kelly McCoy combined on the shutout.
