All girls region soccer has been postponed Wednesday after the City of Las Vegas closed Bettye Wilson Park following early morning rainfall.
The Sunrise, Sunset and I-A Southern Region semifinal matches all have been moved to Thursday and will remain at Bettye Wilson Park at their originally scheduled times.
The boys semifinals will also be played Thursday as scheduled.
Standout performers from Faith Lutheran, Liberty, Coronado and Bishop Gorman highlight the All-Southern Nevada girls soccer team.
The Centennial girls held off Galena in the Class 4A state championship match, and Canyon Springs defeated Liberty for the boys title Saturday.
Faith Lutheran’s girls soccer team defeated Liberty on a Julia Anfinson goal in overtime to win the Class 5A state title Saturday at Coronado.
The Faith Lutheran girls soccer team defeated Coronado in a Class 5A state semifinal Friday. The Crusaders will play Liberty on Saturday for the state title.
Faith Lutheran and Coronado have played each other in the last four girls soccer state title matches. The two teams will play in a 5A state semifinal Friday.
The undefeated Coronado boys soccer team made sure it was ready for Saturday’s Class 5A Southern League final after losing to Palo Verde last season.
