GIRLS SOCCER: Borgel’s hat trick lets Gorman nip Legacy

Hannah Borgel scored three goals Thursday, including two in the second half, to lead Bishop Gorman's girls soccer team to a 3-2 home win over Legacy.
Isabella Skrinjaric scored two goals — one a penalty kick and one unassisted — for the Longhorns.
Green Valley 3, Basic 1 — At Basic, Alexis Kirson scored two goals to lead the Gators by the Wolves.
Carli Perkins also scored for Green Valley.
Monique Silva scored for Basic.
Chaparral 1, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, Stephanie Torres scored on a free kick with about 10 minutes to play to give the Cowboys a tie with the Jaguars.
Yadira Zavala-Hernandez scored on a free kick earlier in the second half for Desert Pines.
Tech 1, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Heritage Park, Veronica Gonzales scored a first-half goal for the Roadrunners as they tied the Miners.
Sunrise Mountain benefitted from an own goal by Tech.
Coronado 2, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Leili Rosenberg scored in the first half to help the Cougars beat the Sundevils.
Katelyn Moxley added a second-half goal for Coronado.
Moapa Valley 2, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Mikaila Tafoya and Ashlyn Western each scored a goal to lift the Pirates past the Eagles.
Goalkeeper Rebecca Smith got the shutout for Moapa Valley.
Foothill 10, Rancho 1 — At Foothill, Katherine Ballou had six goals and two assists, and Hannah Anderson added three goals and an assist as the Falcons routed the Rams.
Alexis Huff supplied a goal and an assist, and Hannah Barnett had two assists for Foothill.
Saippress Jones scored for Rancho.
Palo Verde 8, Durango 1 — At Durango, Jadyn Nogues had three goals and three assists to lead the Panthers past the Trailblazers.
Trinity Carnell scored two goals, and Hannah Gunderson, Lilly Thompson and Tessa Dwyer each scored once for Palo Verde.
Gia Barone had four assists for the Panthers.
Liala Lornig scored for the Trailblazers.
