GIRLS SOCCER: Brinkman’s three goals power Gorman past Desert Oasis

Kaila Brinkman scored three goals Thursday to lead Bishop Gorman’s girls soccer team to a 4-1 home win over Desert Oasis.

Daisy Cabrera also scored, and Arlie Jones had two assists for the Gaels.

Kayla Saucedo scored for the Diamondbacks.

Pahrump Valley 8, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Sydney Sladek scored four goals and had two assists to lead the Trojans by the Desert Shields.

Sladek upped her state career goal record to 176. Earlier this month, she eclipsed the previous state record of 154, which was set by Traci Prado, who played three seasons at North Tahoe from 1998-2000.

Kristen Young added two goals, and Ashlyn DiBlasi and Paige Chafee scored one goal apiece for the Trojans.

Kiaya Nauck made two saves to register the shutout.

Cimarron-Memorial 1, Centennial 0 — At Centennial, Jazmin Centeno scored with two minutes remaining in the match to lift the Spartans by the Bulldogs.

Hylee DiBona made 12 saves to earn the shutout.

Bonanza 5, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Shelby Yuhas had two goals and an assist to power the Bengals by the Longhorns.

Cassandra Zeder added a goal and an assist, and Lisa Gallardo and Ashley Alonzo-Bonilla also scored for Bonanza.

Brittani Snook scored for Legacy.

Faith Lutheran 5, Mojave 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Dani Tharaldson had two goals and an assist as the Crusaders blanked the Rattlers.

Kristi Chinn scored twice, and Brenna Rohnkohl added a goal and two assists for Faith Lutheran, which also got two assists from Morgan Bracey.

Beca Lescenski was in goal for the shutout.

Tech 6, Desert Pines 0 — At McCarran Park, Abrana Wielgosiak had two goals and two assists as the Roadrunners blanked the Jaguars.

Clarissa Szluha added two goals, and Monica Figerora had a goal and an assist for Tech. Melissa Lopez also scored, and Alex Guzman dished out three assists for the Roadrunners.

Elena Duenas made five saves en route to the shutout.

Moapa Valley 7, Chaparral 1 — At Overton, Tylee Evans scored three goals to lead the Pirates by the Cowboys.

Makayla Jackson added a goal and two assists, and Rachel Paystrup, Jessie Morwood and Diana Robles each added a goal for Moapa Valley.

Rosa Martinez scored for Chaparral.

Western 7, Adelson School 0 — At Western, Ellyson Reynada scored the final six goals of the match as the Warriors blanked the Lions.

Guadalupe Herrera also scored for Western, which got a three-save shutout from Stephanie Delgadillo.

Boulder City 9, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Boulder City, Vilde Svendsen had two goals, and Lauren Axelson added a goal and two assists as the Eagles routed the Miners.

Coral Leon-Wilson had a goal and an assist, and Jana Williams, Mackenzie Pluta, Paige Buettner, Jeanne Carmel and Alexus Pohe also scored for Boulder City.

Ali Rovacchi, Pluta and Williams shared time in a goal for Boulder City.
