GIRLS SOCCER: Brinkman’s two goals lead Gaels over Diamondbacks

Kaila Brinkman had two goals, and Arlie Jones added a goal and an assist Tuesday to help Bishop Gorman’s girls soccer team win 3-1 at Desert Oasis.
Brinkman and Jones each scored in the second half to help the Gaels pull away from a 1-1 halftime tie.
Kayla Saucedo scored for the Diamondbacks.
Cimarron-Memorial 2, Centennial 1 — At Cimarron, Jaymee Luke and Natasha Martin each scored to help the Spartans edge the Bulldogs.
Shelby Riddle converted a penalty kick for Centennial.
Virgin Valley 2, Boulder City 0 — At Mesquite, Emily Lara and Abbie Barnum each scored a second-half goal as the Bulldogs topped the Eagles.
Spencer Green made four saves en route to the shutout.
Mojave 1, Adelson School 0 — At Adelson School, Helena Hernandez’s first-half goal was just enough to give the Rattlers a victory over the Lions.
Bonanza 6, Legacy 0 — At Bonanza, Jessica Piazza scored twice, and Alexa Brown and Cassandra Zeder each added a goal and an assist as the Bengals blanked the Longhorns.
Hannah Webster and Ashley Alonzo also scored for Bonanza.
Samantha Haeick made two saves en route to the shutout.
Desert Pines 6, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Selena Rodriguez had two goals and an assist, and Genessis Martinez scored twice as the Jaguars topped the Cowboys.
Isela Mendoza and Genna Marin also scored for the Jaguars, who benefited from two assists by Yadira Hernandez.
Martha Gandarilla made six saves en route to the shutout.
Pahrump Valley 8, Clark 1 — At Clark, Sydney Sladek scored four goals to help the Trojans down the Chargers.
Paige Chafee added three goals, and Rosa Ortega scored another for Pahrump.
Maggie Mora netted Clark’s goal.
Faith Lutheran 9, Western 0 — At Western, Cameron Bracey and Charlotte Vancura each had two goals and an assist as the Crusaders routed the Warriors.
Dani Tharaldson added a goal and three assists, and Kristi Chinn had a goal and an assist for Faith Lutheran. Their other goals came from Kendall Pori, Emily Neighbors and Megan Donnelly. Brenna Rohnkohl had two assists for the Crusaders.
Beka Lescenski recorded three saves in the shutout.
Tech 10, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Abrana Wielgosiak had four goals and two assists to help the Roadrunners cruise past the Pirates.
Alex Guzman had two goals and three assists to help the Roadrunners, and teammates Adriana Guzman, Jacqueline Bernal, Clarisa Szluha and Melissa Lopez added a goal apiece for Tech.
Elena Duenas logged the shutout for Tech.
