GIRLS SOCCER: Childers, Mustangs slip past Pioneers

Casey Childers’ goal early in the second half Tuesday lifted host Shadow Ridge’s girls soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Canyon Springs.

Jenna Gallagher made two saves to earn her sixth shutout of the season.

Tech 1, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Melissa Lopez’s goal only 40 seconds into the match accounted for all of the scoring as the Roadrunners edged the Bulldogs.

Estephania Perez made four saves to earn the shutout for Tech, which had a 19-5 advantage in shots, including a 12-4 edge in shots on goal.

Desert Oasis 1, Silverado 1 — At Silverado, Sydni Aldan’s goal with 11 minutes left in the match allowed the Diamondbacks to earn a tie with the Skyhawks.

Victoria Bravo scored earlier in the second half for Silverado.

Desert Pines 3, Boulder City 1 — At Boulder City, Mariyah Espinoza scored twice to lead the Jaguars by the Eagles.

Jeanna Marin also scored for Desert Pines.

Paige Buettner scored for Boulder City.

Moapa Valley 2, Chaparral 0 — At Overton, Bailey Bunker and Makayla Jackson each had a goal as the Pirates blanked the Cowboys.

Signe Berg recorded the shutout for Moapa Valley.

Sunrise Mountain 9, Del Sol 2 — At Sunrise Mountain, Brisa Pena-Martinez scored three goals, and Miriam Mozqueda had two goals and an assist as the Miners beat the Dragons.

Stephany Saucedo added two goals, and Irene Meza and Mireya Lopez each scored for Sunrise Mountain, which exploded for six second-half goals after leading 3-2 at halftime.

Celeste Ruiz scored twice for Del Sol.
