GIRLS SOCCER: Crusaders pull away, down Falcons

Emily Neighbors converted a first-half penalty kick, and Faith Lutheran’s girls soccer team added a pair of second-half goals Thursday to post a 3-1 home win over Foothill in the Las Vegas Kick-Off.

Dani Tharaldson and Morgan Bracey also scored for the Crusaders.

Hannah Harrison netted Foothill’s goal.

Palo Verde 8, Las Vegas 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Serenity Grim had four goals, and Jadyn Nogues had two goals and three assists as the Panthers downed the Wildcats in the Las Vegas Kick-Off.

Hannah Gunderson had a goal and an assist, and Kirsten Farley also scored for Palo Verde, which got two assists from Hannah Coleman.

Kaia Mendenhall and Jordyn Goyeau combined on the shutout.

Arbor View 1, Green Valley 1 — At Green Valley, Kayla Anderson scored in the second half to help the Gators earn a tie against the Aggies in the Las Vegas Kick-Off.

Lexi Epley had Arbor View’s goal off an assist from Breanna Larkin in the first half.

Coronado 4, Centennial 1 — At Green Valley, Michaela Morris had two goals and an assist as the Cougars topped the Bulldogs in the Las Vegas Kick-Off.

Chynna Zurflueh finished with a goal and an assist, and Taylor Houston also scored for Coronado. Teammate Taylor Kornieck added two assists.

Adelson School 4, Sunrise Mountain 2 — At Adelson School, Reanna Crawley scored two goals, and the Lions beat the Miners for the first on-field win in the program’s history.

Hayden Jansen and Kelsi Slee also had goals for Adelson School.

Miriam Galvez scored both goals for Sunrise Mountain.

Pahrump Valley 8, Tech 0 — At Pahrump, Sydney Sladek had four goals and two assists as the Trojans blanked the Roadrunners.

Courtney Lindsey added two goals and an assist, and Kristen Young had a goal and an assist for Pahrump, which also got a goal from Gabriella Vasquez.

Rancho 6, Moapa Valley 1 — At Rancho, Chanel Eliason racked up three goals and three assists to power the Rams by the Pirates.

Yesenia Godoy added two goals and an assist, and Jasmin Vazquez also scored for Rancho.

Tylee Evans scored for Moapa Valley.

Sierra Vista 6, Mojave 0 — At Sierra Vista, Sophia Omidiji scored three goals, and Calista Reyes finished with a goal and three assists to lead the Mountain Lions over the Rattlers.

Angelina Iniguez and Anna Montemalo had the other goals for Sierra Vista.

Dejah Burchfield and Elisea Melendez each made one save to combine on the shutout.

Liberty 6, Canyon Springs 2 — At Liberty, Tori Holliman had three goals and an assist as the Patriots topped the Pioneers.

Hannah Johnson added a goal and an assist, and Alejandra Matheu-Rios and Alexis Mosqueda each had a goal for Liberty.

Paloma McNair and Vanessa McNair each had a goal and an assist for Canyon Springs.

Desert Oasis 3, Silverado 1 — At Silverado, Kayla Saucedo scored twice to help the Diamondbacks defeat the Skyhawks.

Kali Schwenke also scored for Desert Oasis.

Rose Covarrubias scored for Silverado.

Legacy 2, Desert Pines 0 — At Legacy, Tavia Wells and Erica Schomburg each scored as the Longhorns defeated the Jaguars.

Wells tallied an unassisted goal in the first half, and Schomburg converted off an assist from Ciara Cowlishaw after the intermission.

Alysa Cool earned the shutout for Legacy.

Spring Valley 8, Western 0 — At Western, Samantha Meyers scored five goals, and the Grizzlies cruised past the Warriors.

Jozee DeCunzo notched two goals, and Sahana Bojorquez added a goal and two assists for Spring Valley, which led 5-0 at halftime.

Abigail Barajas chipped in with two assists for the Grizzlies, who got a shutout from Amberlynn Twigg.

Virgin Valley 6, Del Sol 3 — At Mesquite, Abbie Barnum and Marlene Quirarte had two goals and an assist each to lead the Bulldogs by the Dragons.

Emily Lara and Shantel Galindo also scored for Virgin Valley.

Estefany Vargas had two goals, and Gabriela Gomez scored once for Del Sol.

Bonanza 0, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Bonanza, the Bengals' Sami Haeick (four saves) and the Mustangs’ Dallas Gunny each recorded a shutout as the teams played to a scoreless tie.

Eldorado 11, Chaparral 2 — At Eldorado, Cristal Mendoza had two goals and two assists, and Vanessa Sanabria added a goal and two assists to power the Sundevils by the Cowboys.

Ruby Arias and Tianna Slocum added two goals apiece, and Madison Granger, Jessica Benitez, Kimberly Olivares and Jacquie Avila also scored for Eldorado.

Rosa Martinez netted both of Chaparral’s goals.
