GIRLS SOCCER: Lourenco’s hat trick helps Aggies to easy win

Vanessa Lourenco had three goals and an assist Thursday as Arbor View’s girls soccer team opened its season with an 8-0 home win over Bishop Manogue.

Haley Vicente scored twice in the first eight minutes of the match to set the tone for the two-time defending Division I state champion Aggies, who also got goals from Sierra Vicente, Jessica Longhurst and Isabella Oliva.

Katelyn Laurente and Jamie Wilson each had two assists, and Haylee Niemann made two saves en route to the shutout for Arbor View.

Douglas 3, Centennial 0 — At Centennial, Lexi Von Schottenstein scored twice to help the Tigers blank the Bulldogs.

Sam Crawford also scored for Douglas. Corynne Millett made five saves to get the shutout.
