GIRLS SOCCER: Nava’s late heroics boost Mustangs

Stephanie Nava scored off a free kick with five minutes left in the match Wednesday to lift Shadow Ridge’s girls soccer team to a 1-0 victory at Spring Valley.

Dallas Gunny earned the shutout for the Mustangs.

Arbor View 0, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, the Aggies and Mountain Lions played to a scoreless tie.

Kylee Wallace turned aside three shots for Arbor View, and Sierra Vista’s Dejah Burchfield made six saves to earn the shutout.

Las Vegas 3, Valley 1 — At Las Vegas High, Kara Bowden had two goals and an assist as the Wildcats defeated the Vikings.

Ashlee Jordan also scored for Las Vegas, which led 2-0 at the half.

Dzree Posey scored for Valley.

Coronado 7, Liberty 1 — At Coronado, Michaela Morris had three goals and an assist as the Cougars topped the Patriots.

Kassidy Pickle scored a goal and had an assist, and Ashley Comandatore, Kasey Ficklin and Chynna Zurflueh each added a goal. Meg Sharples had three assists for Coronado.

Tori Holliman provided the lone goal for Liberty.

Silverado 8, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Danielle Parven scored three goals, and Krista Lee added two goals as the Skyhawks rolled by the Pioneers.

Rose Covarrubias, Taylor Petrillo and Melina Amadore each added a goal for Silverado.

Leticia Godoy scored for Canyon Springs.

Green Valley 8, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Shesten Lynam, Miranda Bradley and Kayla Anderson each scored two goals as the Gators routed the Rams.

Kiyana Lopez and Faith Ezelle also scored for Green Valley.

Lopez, Anderson and Cassandra Palor combined on the shutout.

Palo Verde 11, Durango 1 — At Durango, Jadyn Nogues had three goals and two assists, and Macee Barlow tallied two goals and an assist as the Panthers routed the Trailblazers.

Serenity Grim scored two goals, and Peyton Feller, Alexis Lloyd, Isabella Meyers and Gia Barone each supplied a goal for Palo Verde. Mackenzie Nogues added two assists.

Austin Martines converted a penalty kick for Durango.

Foothill 3, Eldorado 2 — At Foothill, Katherin Ballou, Jillian Vigil and Monica Willhite each scored a first-half goal, and the Falcons held on to edge the Sundevils.

Basic 7, Del Sol 0 — At Basic, the Wolves rolled by the Dragons.
