GIRLS SOCCER: Roadrunners clinch top Sunrise seed with win over Miners

Adriana Guzman scored two second-half goals Thursday to help Tech’s girls soccer team secure the Sunrise League’s No. 1 seed for the Division I-A Southern Region playoffs with a 2-1 win at Sunrise Mountain.
Monica Figerora had two assists for the Roadrunners, who built a 2-0 lead and held on for the win.
Brisa Pena-Martinez scored for the Miners.
Bishop Gorman 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Gabrielle Mazzara, Janey Fielden and Hannah Borgel each scored once to lead the Gaels by the Longhorns.
Jessica Anaya made 10 saves to earn the shutout.
Virgin Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Mesquite, Abbie Barnum had a goal and an assist as the Bulldogs blanked the Dragons.
Kari Wakefield and Kennedi Ludvigson also scored for Virgin Valley.
Spencer Green made two saves en route to the shutout.
Moapa Valley 4, Boulder City 1 — At Overton, Alexis Schraft had two goals and an assist as the Pirates downed the Eagles.
Makayla Jackson and Delia Rubio also scored for Moapa Valley.
Oshauna Remy converted a penalty kick for Boulder City.
Desert Pines 4, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Jeanna Marin scored two goals to lead the Jaguars past the Cowboys.
Mariyah Espinoza and Martha Gandarilla also scored for the Jaguars.
Selena Rosas scored for Chaparral.
Palo Verde 5, Durango 1 — At Palo Verde, the Panthers built a 3-0 halftime lead and held off the Trailblazers.
Hannah Coleman, Noah Johnson, Gia Barone, Amber Price and Isabella Myers scored for Palo Verde, which got two assists from Tessa Dwyer.
Alyssa Nunez scored for Durango.
Centennial 6, Mojave 0 — At Centennial, McKenna Stratton and Victoria Cera each scored twice as the Bulldogs beat the Rattlers.
Addison Riddle and Ashley Marshall also scored for Centennial, which got two assists from Katelyn Levoyer.
Riddle and Stratton combined on the shutout.
Green Valley 6, Basic 0 — At Green Valley, Alexis Kirson had two goals, and Sydney Holborrow added a goal and two assists as the Gators blanked the Wolves.
Maggie Bender, Lianna Soifua and Talia Lopez also scored for Green Valley, which got two assists from Victoria Whitehouse.
Kiyana Lopez and Ryan Sabol combined on the shutout.
Foothill 7, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Katherine Ballou scored five goals to power the Falcons by the Rams.
Rae Burrell added two goals and an assist for Foothill.
Marisa Milne made three saves en route to the shutout.
Coronado 9, Eldorado 0 — At Coronado, Michaela Morris scored five goals as the Cougars secured the Southeast League title by downing the Sundevils.
Taylor Kornieck had two goals and four assists, and Ashley Thomas scored twice for the Cougars.
Rachel Morris and Shannon Heenan combined for the shutout.
