GIRLS SOCCER: Rodriguez, Patriots earn first win over Gators

Rebecca Rodriguez made 10 saves to earn a shutout Thursday and help Liberty’s girls soccer team to a 2-0 win over visiting Green Valley.
Savannah Owens had a goal and an assist, and Troi Hollimon scored a goal for the Patriots, who beat the Gators for the first time in school history.
Cimarron-Memorial 2, Canyon Springs 2 — At Canyon Springs, Jaymee Luke and Morgan Hemphill each scored once in the first half to help the Spartans tie the Pioneers.
Monica Camargo had a goal and an assist, and Karla Ochoa also scored for Canyon Springs.
Chaparral 2, Boulder City 2 — At Boulder City, Shuelem Garcilazo and Leticia Ibarra each scored once to help the Cowboys earn a tie with the Eagles.
Paige Buettner scored twice for Boulder City.
Palo Verde 5, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Tessa Dwyer scored three goals to lead the Panthers past the Bengals.
Alyssa Young added a goal and an assit, and Amber Price scored once Palo Verde. Mackenzie Nogues had two assists, and Jordan Goyeau had the shutout.
Silverado 4, Basic 1 — At Basic, Victoria Bravo had a goal and an assist to lead the Skyhawks past the Wolves.
Kylie Anderson, Cassidy Pappas and Victoria Sanchez each added a goal for Silverado.
Angelica Jaimes-Hale scored for Basic.
Valley 4, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, Paige Tarr and Lillian Godinez each had a goal and an assist to lead the Vikings to a victory over the Rams.
Neida Gutierrez and Kayla Steiner also scored for Valley.
Centennial 5, Foothill 2 — At Centennial, McKenna Stratton and Victoria Cera each scored two goals to lift the Bulldogs over the Falcons.
Shae Hollan also scored for Centennial.
Katherine Ballou and Taylor Arteaga scored for Foothill.
Arbor View 4, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Katelyn Laurente scored two goals as the Aggies defeated the Longhorns.
Deja Erikson and Asianna Harris each added a goal for Arbor View.
Lauren Shoughro made three saves en route to the shutout.
Coronado 5, Las Vegas 1 — At Las Vegas, Ashley Thomas scored two goals to help the Cougars beat the Wildcats.
Ashley Comandatore, Chynna Zurflueh and Katelyn Moxley each added a goal for Coronado.
Adrian Domingo scored for Las Vegas.
Shadow Ridge 5, Eldorado 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Crystal Adame scored twice to lead the Mustangs by the Sundevils.
Joey Wright, Lindsay Irwin and Casey Childers each added a goal for Shadow Ridge.
Jenna Gallagher earned the shutout.
Desert Oasis 7, Durango 0 — At Desert Oasis, Miah Strellnauer scored three goals and teammate Ashley Wood added a goal and an assist, as the Diamondbacks downed the Trailblazers.
Cayla Lee, MacKenzie Koehlmoos and Sydni Aldan each had a goal for Desert Oasis.
Kelsey LaBoeuf and Michelle Galez combined on the shutout.
Tech 11, Del Sol 0 — At Heritage Park, Abrana Wielgosiak scored four goals, and Adriana Guzman supplied a goal and three assists as the Roadrunners rolled over the Dragons.
Melissa Lopez had a goal and two assists for Tech. Myan Lang, Stephanie Newman and Leslie Santos each added a goal and an assist, and Monica Figerora and Daisy Flores also scored for the Roadrunners.
Lisette Sanchez and Estephania Perez combined on the shutout.
Postponed matches — Sunrise Mountain’s match at Virgin Valley and Desert Pines’ match at Moapa Valley both were postponed because of ongoing repair on Interstate 15, northeast of Las Vegas. The matches have not yet been rescheduled.
