GIRLS SOCCER: Sladek, Trojans top Crusaders for Sunset League crown

Sydney Sladek scored two goals Thursday as Pahrump Valley’s girls soccer team captured the Sunset League title with a 3-2 win at Faith Lutheran.

Courtney Lindsey also scored for the Trojans, who finished 11-0-1 in the league.

Dani Tharaldson and Megan Donnelly scored for the Crusaders, who finished second at 9-2-1.

Bonanza 2, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Megan Cousineau and Jessica Piazza each scored in the second half to lift the Bengals by the Spartans.

Jaymee Luke scored for Cimarron.

Virgin Valley 2, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, Emily Lara and Abbie Barnum each had a goal to lead the Bulldogs past the Pirates.

Kiersten Petty scored the Pirates’ goal.

Desert Pines 4, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jeanna Marin scored three goals as the Jaguars routed the Miners.

Maria Gutierrez added a goal for Desert Pines.

Martha Gandarilla made three saves en route to the shutout.

Cheyenne 4, Mojave 1 — At Cheyenne, Jocelyn Vasquez scored three goals to lead the Desert Shields to a win over the Rattlers.

Amairani Gomez also scored for Cheyenne.

Helena Hernandez scored the only goal for Mojave.

Tech 9, Boulder City 0 — At McCarran Park, Abrana Wielgosiak had three goals and two assists to help the Roadrunners rout the Eagles.

Adriana Guzman scored twice, and Alex Guzman had a goal and three assists for Tech, which led 5-0 at the half.

Jacqueline Bernal had a goal and an assist, and Stephanie Rodriguez and Melissa Lopez each scored once for the Roadrunners.

Elena Duenas and Estephania Perez combined on the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 10, Legacy 0 — At Gorman, Kaila Brinkman and Claire Standaert each scored two goals to lead the Gaels past the Longhorns.

Arianna Cabrera, McKenzie Sullivan, Carley Pasqualotto, Danielle Maatouk, Tatum Buckley and Hannah Borgel also scored for Gorman.

Clark 10, Western 3 — At Western, Ariana Reyes had four goals and an assist, and Stephanie Chavez added three goals and an assist as the Chargers rolled past the Warriors.

Darian Gambetta had two goals and two assists, and Maggie Mora added a goal and assist for Clark, which got two assists from Eyker Milan.

Ellyson Reynada scored twice, and Guadalupe Herrera added a goal for Western.
