GIRLS SOCCER: Trujillo’s goal sends Pioneers past Wildcats

Yareli Trujillo scored an unassisted goal to break a 2-2 tie and give Canyon Springs’ girls soccer team a 3-2 home victory over Las Vegas on Tuesday.

The Pioneers’ Leticia Godoy scored earlier in the second half to tie the game. Godoy finished with two goals.

Ashlee Jordan had a goal and an assist to lead Las Vegas, and Mackenzie McCoy scored a goal for the Wildcats.

Cheyenne 1, Western 0 — At Cheyenne, Girly Tambeagbor scored a second-half goal on an assist from Amairani Gomez as the Desert Shields nipped the Warriors.

Goalkeepers E’moni Albert and Delayia Borrero combined on the shutout.

Pahrump Valley 1, Clark 0 — At Pahrump, Amy Estrella scored a first-half goal as the Trojans edged the Chargers.

Jessica Friesz made five saves to earn the shutout.

Silverado 1, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Victoria Bravo scored a first-half goal as the Skyhawks nipped the Patriots.

Mikaila Becze recorded the shutout.

Spring Valley 4, Faith Lutheran 2 — At Spring Valley, Samantha Meyers had a goal and two assists to lead the Grizzlies over the Crusaders.

Jozee DeCunzo, Janis Martinez-Ortiz and Sahana Bojorquez each added a goal for Spring Valley, which got two assists from Savannah Villanueva.

Kristi Chinn and Brenna Rohnkohl each scored once for Faith Lutheran.

Centennial 2, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Emilee Bohls and Victoria Cera each had a second-half goal as the Bulldogs edged the Spartans.

Jaymee Luke scored for Cimarron.

Desert Oasis 1, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, the Diamondbacks and the Mountain Lions played to a tie.

Cienah Reed scored for Desert Oasis. Anna Montemalo scored for Sierra Vista.

Arbor View 6, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Haley Vicente had three goals as the Aggies rolled past the Bengals.

Sierra Vicente added two goals, and Vanessa Lourenco scored once for Arbor View.

Haylee Niemann was in goal for the shutout.
