GIRLS SOCCER: Willhite’s goal gives Falcons win over Wolves

Monica Willhite’s goal with 15 minutes left in the match Monday lifted Foothill’s girls soccer team to a 2-1 win at Basic.

Jillian Vigil also scored for the Falcons.

Erika Church scored for the Wolves.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Boulder City 2 — At Boulder City, Xitlaly Manzo, Miriam Mozqueda and Brisa Pena-Martinez each scored once as the Miners edged the Eagles.

Oshauna Remy and Rebecca Smith scored for Boulder City.

Bishop Gorman 2, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Gorman, Hannah Borgel converted a first-half penalty kick, and Hannah Lee scored on a free kick in the second half to lift the Gaels by the Mustangs.

Jessica Anaya made two saves to record the shutout.

Palo Verde 5, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Macee Barlow netted two goals as the Panthers blanked the Longhorns.

Mackenzie Nogues and Jadyn Nogues each added a goal and an assist, and Isabella Myers also scored for Palo Verde.

Jordan Goyeau was in goal for the shutout.

Virgin Valley 6, Chaparral 0 — At Mesquite, Abbie Barnum scored three goals to lead the Bulldogs by the Cowboys.

Kari Wakefield added a goal and two assists, and Kallie Graves and Emma Dodenbier also scored for Virgin Valley.

Spencer Green made three saves en route to the shutout.

Green Valley 7, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Alexis Kirson had three goals and two assists to power the Gators over the Sundevils.

Maggie Bender added a goal and two assists, and Victoria Whitehouse, Isabel Madrid and Mackenzie Zurcher each added a goal for Green Valley.

Kiyana Lopez and Ryan Sabol combined on the shutout.

Tech 8, Moapa Valley 1 — At Heritage Park, Abrana Wielgosiak had three goals and two assists as the Roadrunners downed the Pirates.

Valerie Webb had two goals, and Adriana Guzman added a goal and an assist for Tech, which also got goals from Monica Figerora and Leslie Santos.

Alexis Schraft scored for Moapa Valley.

Desert Pines 8, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Monica Cruz, Jeanna Marin and Genessis Martinez each scored twice to help the Jaguars dominate the Dragons.

Miranda Sanchez and Mariyah Espinoza also scored for Desert Pines.

Martha Gandarilla was in goal for the shutout.

Coronado 10, Rancho 1 — At Coronado, Michaela Morris had four goals and three assists, and Olivia Meza added four goals and two assists as the Cougars routed the Rams.

Ashley Thomas and Chynna Zurflueh also scored for Coronado.

Jasmin Vazquez scored for Rancho.
