Roundup: Coronado claims tournament title with win over Palo Verde

Kaitlyn Kowalchuk and Alysa Caso scored second-half goals to lift Coronado’s girls soccer team to to a 2-1 victory over host Palo Verde in the championship game of the Las Vegas Kickoff Classic on Friday afternoon.
Alexis Pashales had an assist for Coronado.
Lucy Moore scored for Palo Verde.
Desert Oasis 3, Foothill 2 — At Desert Oasis, Endya Scott had two goals to lead the Diamondbacks to a come-from-behind win over the Falcons in the Las Vegas Kickoff Classic.
Sydney Rios had one goal for Desert Oasis.
Eldorado 9, Chaparral 2 — At Eldorado, Angelica Lamas scored four goals and had one assist as the Sundevils rolled past the Cowboys.
Eldorado’s Mia Ostler also scored two goals and had three assists. Andrea Arias, Angeles Hernandez, and Madalyn Pewtress each scored one goal, and Isabella Samas had two assists for the Sundevils.
Chaparral’s Jasmine Ahumada and Ada Cruz each scored one goal.
Centennial 1, Green Valley 1 — At Green Valley, the Bulldogs outscored the Gators 4-3 in penalty kicks after the teams played to a tie in the Las Vegas Kickoff Classic.
Marcella Brooks scored for Centennial.
Taylor O’Neill scored for Green Valley.
Bonanza 3, Durango 2 — At Bonanza, the Bengals scored three first-half goals to hold off the Trailblazers.
Abby Martinez, Charlene Beck and Ashley Vasquez scored for Bonanza, and Patricia Anaya-Navas provided two assists.
Laila Loring and Tatiana Calicich scored for Durango.
Tech 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Gianna Mestas, Alysia Mestas, and Samantha Elliot each scored one goal as the Roadrunners took down the Spartans.
Haylee Nerio scored for Cimarron.
Sierra Vista 3, Green Valley JV 0 — At Green Valley, Amani Felipe scored one goal and had one assist as she led the Mountain Lions to a victory over the Gators’ junior varsity in the Las Vegas Kickoff Classic.
Sierra Vista’s Jesalin Diaz and Julia Plante each also scored one goal, and Taylor Puckett also added two assists. Goalkeeper Jamie Kaalau-Sunia made four saves as she kept a clean sheet.
Desert Pines 1, Spring Valley 1 — At Desert Pines, the Jaguars outscored the Grizzlies 4-2 in penalty kicks after the teams played to a tie in the Las Vegas Kickoff Classic.
Nazly Ramos scored Desert Pines’ goal.
Lindsay Meyer had Spring Valley’s goal.
Legacy 7, Moapa Valley 0 — At Mesquite, the Longhorns drilled the Pirates in the Mesquite Cup.
Northland Prep (Ariz.) 5, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Mesquite, the Miners were shut out were shut out in the Mesquite Cup.
